Why do people dislike alicorns?

I think people dislike alicorns because Twilight Sparkle turned into one.

I know, right....

OK, I get that they are supposed to be rare, and lot of people are worried about there being too many alicorns, but why do people just flat out not like them? It seems a little ridiculous.

Alicorns are rare and overpowered, and it kills a role play when a Alicorn can make something happen it fix a problem.

I guess it depends what's the alicorn's talent.

For me, it's about all the OCs. They'res over 9000 Alicorn OCs, and it's very annoying.
But, in the real thing, I can't see it much. Sure, Twilight turned into one, but it can make sense in a way.
