I rolled my eyes. "Like you have any."

My eyes flashed. "Cassandra I swear I will--" I started towards her. Ryan held me back. I glared at her.

"OKAY!!! So.... Alex you okay being the leader?"

Ryan held onto my arms and my nostrils still flared. The nerve of her!

I shrugged. "I guess."

"Guys, relax, I was just kidding!" I held out my hands in defense. "Seriously, jokes are fun. You should try them sometime."

"Well..... When your running from monsters and training to kill monsters... you don't joke around allot......"

I narrowed my eyes. "This isn't really the best time for jokes, Cassandra."

I crossed my arms. "Guys, please loosen up. I know you all hate me, and I know your kids are missing, but being all tense isn't going to help."

"if we 'loosen up' we could miss something and everything can go completely wrong..... And we could lose our kids forever..."

"If we're super tense, we'll look for little details and miss the big picture."

I shook our of Ryans grip and walked at Cassandra. "Cassandra, you do NOT know what it feels like losing your kids," my voice cracked. "It's hard and you don't know if they'll live through the night. And So help me I will hurt you if they die becasue you 'loosened up'." I glared at her then turned and walked towards Ryan and cried into his shoulder.

I put my hand on Teddy's shoulder,"We'll find them...... I promise..."

I wiped my eyes and then smiled small. "Sorry, this has been hard on me..."

"Fine." I examined my hands. "Maybe I don't know about losing my own children. But I know what it feels like to be abandoned. And I have been close to dying many times because I've saved multiple children's lives. My two year old sister, for instance." I gritted my teeth. "And thanks to me, she's still alive and well. So go ahead, don't trust me. Don't accept my help and advice. But I bet Anna knows what it feels like even more than the rest of you."
Anna slowly looked down.

I ignored Cassandra "It's been hard on everyone...... But we should get on the move...."

I stared at Cassandra. My lip quivered. I turned on my heel and walked towards the tree.

I walked over to Teddy,"Come on.... We need to get going...." I ushered her to the group.

I walked over to the group and Ryan put his arm around me.

"Cassandra," I said urgently. "Look, they don't like you."
She snorted. "And I don't like them. Looks like we all learned something new today."
"Cassie, they don't know you like I do. They'll have to learn to trust you."
"Like that'll ever happen."
"It will," I said firmly.

"It won't" I said under my breath hearing the the whole conversation by reading their minds...

I bit my lip as I went to pack my stuff. Why me?
Why was I the hated one?
Was I too much like… her?

"Anna We don't hate you." I said.

(I meant Cassandra. Nobody likes Cassandra.)

I got my silver and purple backpack and walked to the camp boundaries.

I opened my ring. All I could see was static. I cursed in multiple languages.

As I walked I couldn't help but take out my phone and look at all the pictures of Kaley and Ashley i had.......... The one of Ashley playing with her bunny.... the one of Kaley holding my hand.....

I looked around. "Come on let's get something to eat...."

"I can't eat. I'll be sick." I said. I really felt I was going to be sick.
Ryan wrapped his arms around me. "I'm going back to camp, just in case." I nodded and kissed him.
"Be safe..." I whispered.

"Okay..." I sighed and followed Alex...

"I need time. My rings not working. My as well eat."

I silently sat at the Hecate table, chewing my lip. I fingered my golden blonde hair. Thalia'd told me about Arax… about her. Maybe since she had left, they held a bitterness toward her.
And I looked and acted too much like her to be accepted here.

*Ironic that Alex and Araxie were best friends but Cassandra looks like Araxie and Alex hates her*

I shrugged. "Random place I guess."

Finally, I grabbed my stuff. Would they let me go?
I ran to where they were.
"Hey, guys, can I come with you?"

I looked at her. "Really? I'm trying to HELP you. I'd get in the way as much as anyone else here would."
