Cmon guys. I know it's hard to remain positive but there were so many signs that pointed to DE being endgame.
-Elena saying she can't think about 'always' right now when she chose Stefan
-Elena telling Damon 'maybe if we met first' which they DID
-Elena saying his प्यार consumes her and the parallel with Damon saying she wants a consuming प्यार

Damon compelled her to find what she was looking for which at the time was Stefan. As a vampire that compulsion is going to wear off interestingly enough and she will remember her पूर्व encounters with Damon. This whole thing is a game changer एक साल से अधिक पुराना

Thank God for positive people here! But I think that what Damon कहा to Elena, when he compelled her, didn't mean ''falling for Stefan''. He just wanted her to find everything that she' looking for. After all this time, sicne they met on that road, she finally can कन्फर्म that she has one of those things: a प्यार that cosumes her- DAMON. So, he is everything that she wants. First of all... no delena. What's up with that? Don't even get me started on Stefan. He isn't evil या bad. In just one episode elena and lexi manage to nearly break him at the end. He looked like he was about to start crying. Ugh the writers will do anything to push stelena instead of keeping stefan a true ripper for a while. I want to see him go really bad!
