आप Know You're A Writer When. . .
(feel free to agree या disagree with any of these.)

-You skip meals या don't eat as much because you're too eager to get back to the story आप were working on. (Yeah, I did this at lunch today. Deliberatly stopped eating early 'cause I had to get back to my story.)

-You have a notebook and pen या pencil that आप carry everywhere. (Mine's right here अगला to me.)

-You freak out if ANYTHING happens to कहा notebook. (I start going ballistic if I even set it down in a different place and it takes me a मिनट to remember where I set it.)

-You listen to songs and think, "Oh, this would be great for this scene in this story." या 'This totally fits the situation in the story I'm working on."
(I'm listening to "How To Save A Life" and it's reminding me of two of my lion characters.)

-You actually consult your characters on a problem. (Oh, I wonder what this character would do?)

-You use the same character, (in a million different incarnations and occasionally with a last name change,) for every single story because आप just like him या her. (Ok, maybe that one's just me. I have 10,000 different incarnations of this charrie in my stories.)

writer67 and i bet you got scenes taped to doors windows inside cupboards. different coloured papers for names and characters.you wake with more ideas. you sllep thinking of your creation; the characters always need to be heard if its where they will spend the scene. and lion s, bet you aint lion around, hope your near completion. i grew up with a white lion cub on tv. would like to read more, when published, i got them mild gossenumps on arms going over ;-]

Rae-Ash I am the same way and it drives my family crazy. Sometimes in the middle of a conversation I will get an idea and will run off to get it written down. Like my creative writing teacher says 'Just keep writing and just hope you don't go crazy with all the ideas and characters running around in your head'

You're standing in a long line to pay for your groceries. Which sentence do आप think will get आप through?

1. "May I go ahead of आप please?" Put on a really sincere face.

2. "May I step ahead of आप please, because I'm really late for my doctor's appointment?"

Using the word "because" will get आप closer to 'yes' in almost any circumstance. Why? Because your request is followed द्वारा a reason, an explanation for the request. If the request is reasonable, then why not say yes?

The word refers the listener to some background, some circumstances, a framework related to the request....
