Everyday at lunch for all of high school so far I would stand in line and wait to get up to the front to tell the lunch lady that “I need a to-go tray please.” Then once I had gotten my tray, I would scan my lunch card and dash down the hallway to my प्रिय teacher’s room to शामिल होइए “the lunch bunch” on everyday except Wednesday, and Friday. On those days the beginning of this routine is relatively the same, but instead of heading off to another meeting of the lunch bunch, I would take a detour at the पुस्तकालय to शामिल होइए my फ्रेंड्स at our usual table, for either Youth Alive या FCA depending on the day.
My फ्रेंड्स and I would always sit in the same spots at this table, every meeting, every year. For the first two years Leslie and Rachel would argue, and Sarah and I would make meaningful eye contact across the तालिका, टेबल in mutual agreement about how silly they were. This is how it always was. Then the अगला साल our group of four grew to 6 with the addition of Caleb and Sarah T. everything stayed pretty much the same though. We still argued, we still laughed, and we all still sat in the exact same spots at the exact same table.
This साल though I all changed. Leslie moved, so now there is only Sarah and I to argue with Rachel and no one ब्रेव enough to try and break it up. Youth Alive is no longer in the library, and at FCA we sit in different places because it is sad to see Leslie’s सीट empty.
It is almost like these subtle changes are slow reminders that all too soon, we wont have a routine of set places to spend our lunch time, या a lunch bunch to share it with. And it doesn’t stop there, all of the routines we know will disappear, just like Leslie, and we will be left holding our सैंडविच and staring at an empty seat.

I felt sick and went to the bathroom. I felt sick, but nothing was happening. Then, class ended. The आग alarm started to ring through the hall ways. Everyone was screaming. I realized the आग was right in the hallway of the bathrooms. I barely opened the door to find red monsters in the middle of the fire. I tripped and fell out of the doorway. They saw me and before I knew it, I was tied up and being gagged with a cloth. They left me द्वारा the fire. Everyone was trying to find the fire. Bruno appeared in the hallway. Bruno ran to me, going through the flames without a scratch, burn, या injury.....

I stayed in my room all दिन on Sunday, coming out once या twice to use the restroom down the hall. I didn't see Dad at all that day, which was a plus. Not enough to ease my remorse, though. I wanted so much to run to Micah and get the hell away from here. He, after all, was the only thing keeping me from killing myself right at this moment.

On Monday though, Dad knocked on my door, not so violently this time.

"Alessa! Get up now before you're late!" I dragged my limp body over to my closet and got dressed. I finished getting ready, and then was out the door. I missed Micah; I was late. I probably...

Lucy soon became like a mom to me. She watched after me, and made sure I got enough to eat (even if it was from a dumpster). I grew और anxious as the nine महीना mark came near. Only then did I think about actually delivering the baby. Lucy promised she'd help me, and that she'd try to remember how it was handled when she had her sons and daughters. The baby began kicking and shifting around a lot, and it doubled me over in pain. It happened quite frequently, and I became बिस्तर ridden. Lucy didn't want me walking the streets like this, and she insisted that I stayed in the car. She brought me...

"...What do आप mean?" Mom asked. We'd told her about the rent. I had managed to get off the table, but I had to lean against the counter for support. My leg was so sore.

"Mom," Paige कहा slowly. "We're going to get evicted if we don't pay it."

"So just pay it," she said, oblivious to the seriousness of the situation.

"We can't," Paige said. "We have no money."

"What happened to all of it?" Mom asked, her eyes widening.

"We used it to pay the hospital bill last month. So Matt had offered to pay the rent, and he didn't. Now we're in trouble." Mom was quiet for a moment, then rolled her eyes and...

Seven साल old Claire Debony dashed outside of her pa’s barn. Her short, brown hair bouncing behind her as she ran. Her tee कमीज, शर्ट flapping behind her in the wind. She was going to meet her friend Wyatt down at the crick. It was an everyday ritual for them.
When she reached the bank of the crick she glanced around for Wyatt. She walked out onto the pier. The pier went about one-fourth into the water.
Claire spotted something out of the corner of her eye. She began to turn, but it was too late. Wyatt, a gangly boy with black...

A little long but worth the read...

Two Choices

What would आप do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a पंच
line, there isn't one. Read it anyway. My सवाल is: Would आप have
made the same choice?

At a fundraising रात का खाना for a school that serves children with
learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a
speech that would never be forgotten द्वारा all who attended. After
extolling the school and its
dedicated staff, he offered a question:

'When not interfered with द्वारा outside influences, everything
nature does, is done with perfection.

Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn...

Like after all the nights before, I had woken up a several amount of times. Every hour, past twelve, until I finally woke at nine. This routine was my life. It was all it was, after Max.
Max, was my life for the twelve years we had. However, five of those twelve years, we spent in grief.
Diagnosed with lung cancer on our sixth साल anniversary. At first, we were a little worried--but we were certain that things would turn out fine. He promised me that they would. That, however, was not the case.
With radiation treatment, and surgeries here and there, the cancer came back every साल until our twelfth...

Recap:
When i turned around to look in the direction where she was coming from, i saw that nearly all the people who had been standing there were gone.I looked around and saw some of the kids running into the bathrooms, others entering classrooms which they were not supposed to be in.I thought about hiding in one room that was on the left side near the locker i had hit my head on but before i could even move, i had Mrs.copcon say, "Everyone stop where they are standing".
