House wandered around the house trying to find out something to do cause, well, sadly, his girlfriend was a very smart woman. And while most of the times it was a massive turn on, especially when she would beat him in an argument,
now, that wasn't such a perk.
He searched through the house, finding a lot of things that he'd never seen before but was sure that his mind had picked it up somewhere. After all, that was the only explanation to why things like those would end up in his fantasy.
And just when he was about to give credit to the कल्पना for giving him such an enormous house, that he now saw और as a विला and not a regular town house, considering it had 3 और bedrooms in addition to the master bedroom and an office, he came across a shelf in the hallway.
But it wasn't just an ordinary shelf with ordinary things such as फूल and पुस्तकें placed on it, there were some... trophies, he would say, and some picture frames placed on it.
He blinked a few times before he could ponder what he was seeing. There, in all their glory stood two awards. Those trophies he thought would probably be his lacrosse trophies, cause he had those in store, well, somewhere, were actually awards. And he knew which ones, cause he followed a lot of TV shows.
But... not this one.
House took one of the statues, that he recognized as an Golden Globe award and read what it was written on the shine plate. 'Best Performance द्वारा an Actor in a टेलीविज़न Series – Drama, Hugh Laurie for House MD'
What the hell was going on?
This wasn't right. He... was his mind mocking him? How could this be? He had no idea who this person, this actor was, and there it was an award with his name written on it. Like.. like he was a part of some show.
What on earth was his mind on?
This couldn't be happening, this wasn't happening!
This was just a fantasy. Medically induced fantasy. Nothing more!
House stared at the shelf as the statue in his hands slowly dropped to the floor,the little golden globe cracking as it hit the wooden surface. There, right अगला to the, what he believed was, a SAG award stood a picture frame with a him and 4 other people. Three of them which he never met before. They were two young men and a teenage girl, they were hugging him and they... they had some of his features... Almost like, almost like they were his. His kids.
The fourth person was Cuddy, she was glowing and she had a goofy smile on her face as she raised her hand at camera, like she was caught saying something when the picture was taken. The whole setting seemed natural, and like it had been taken off guard.
What on Earth was this?
Was this... he couldn't dare think... was this future?
Would he have 3 kids with Cuddy, and marry her? His eyes quickly darted to his hand and he found no ring there. That would explain all that Cuddy was saying when she stopped by. They weren't together then, but where were the kids?
And most importantly, what was that written plate on the award all about?
And whey were they in Los Angeles and not in Princeton. This wasn't logical. At all.
House slowly made his way to master bedroom, seeking some जवाब in laying down on the bed. However, his intentions were quickly disturbed द्वारा something small residing on one of the two nightstands beside the bed.
He reached for the infamous object and stared at it. Not quite sure how to process the whole thing.
It was a piece of paper. A familiar piece of paper. Just like the one that superstitious Chinese woman had दिया him when Cuddy and him had been having lunch.
He couldn't believe it. He wouldn't believe it.
The piece of paper, of course, had something written on it. And after पढ़ना Be careful what आप wish for for the सेकंड time in that day, House tried hard not to have a mild दिल attack.
He might have been proven wrong for the first time in his life.
