Lisa screamed into her तकिया causing her कुत्ता to bark. How could she have been so stupid? How could she let him किस her? How could she allow herself to like his kisses?
“Stupid, Stupid, Stupid” she screamed more.
This was not supposed to happen. She thought she was सुरक्षित with Hugh, she thought she would never feel anything for him. She was so wrong.
Why did she all of sudden feel this urge to be close to him, to have a taste of his lips again, let him hold her? Why? That wasn’t how she should have felt. She should have felt nothing. Nothing!
And yet, there she was cursing herself for letting him go away.

She had a conflict of interest. With herself. One part of her wanted to feel nothing for her best friend and the other part knew it felt something for her best friend.

One part wanted nothing but sex with him, nothing but pleasure. The other part, however, wanted something other from him, it wanted his comfort, his constant presence, not just a guy who was there when she needed to unwind and who’d leave before she could say ‘Good morning’, it wanted him to stay, just like he did that morning. Stayed and kissed her, held her, did everything that that part of Lisa’s wanted him to. Until the other part felt the urge to tell him to go home.

And what was she to do? Which part of her did she let to win over? The one that she knew would never get her hurt, या the one that would let her love?
She needed an answer, she desperately needed an answer.


How was she to react the अगला time she saw him? Was she to pretend like nothing happened? That would be stupid. या would it? Hugh told her he met someone. That was good. That meant he had commitments, just like when he was with Jo. He had something to hold him back. That was good for Lisa because that meant she got to keep her peculiar friendship with Hugh. But did she want to keep it? Could she do that to herself, to him?

She decided that leaving things where it meant that she would be with Hugh like she used to be was the safest choice.
She didn’t know how would she react to his presence anymore, though. She didn’t know, just like she didn’t know how she felt for him, या rather how she didn’t feel for him.

And that was when Lisa made her last decision. She would let him make the first step, she would put a ball into his court. What he wanted - would go.
But was she ready to expose herself to him like that?
She didn’t know… And that was fine द्वारा her.
