OK, here's a full quote from the interview actually is not that bad, and Kevin was misquoted on the "unbelievable" part . About the interview the only good thing abut it is that Kevin confirmed it's not possible for Elena to प्यार both of them in a romantic way!!

Apart from that perhaps what Kevin meant was :
Elena will never stop loving stefan ( same way Joey loved Dawson ) but what he failed to mention is she will प्यार Damon more:D
Am I being naive and unrealistic???

I'm right with आप there. She will प्यार Damon more; and to remain with Stefan, while longing for Damon, would tear her apart. I hope at that point Stefan will be able to let her go. He recognizes their intense प्यार at the end of Midnight and apologizes for coming in between that. He sees Elena's face at the window, expecting Damon only to find him instead. If Damon did not die (HE COMES BACK TO LIFE though before anybody starts crying :) I honestly believe he would have let her go. That's what I got from Kevin's टिप्पणी दे too. I think, and can see the दिखाना going where, Elena will always care for Stefan but will grow to प्यार Damon more. Stefan came at a time in Elena's life where she really needed someone like him. While I do like him and Stelena may have some cute moments, I really do not find them epic in any way. Stefan helped bring Elena back from that dark place she was in after her parents died but Damon was the one who brought out her happy, fun self and made her feel good and alive again. Didn't Kevin also say how Elena will think it's not ok to प्यार both brothers? That is interesting too because none of us want her to turn into another Katherine and string the brothers along, which she would never do. I hope the दिखाना ends in a place where Elena still cares for Stefan and is grateful to him for helping her but she realizes her connection with, friendship, and passion for Damon was always stronger. Well I agree that Elena can't प्यार both Stefan and Damon in the same way. Yes she will प्यार both but eventually I think her प्यार for Stefan will be a friendship love. The प्यार that she will have/does have for Damon comes after her प्यार for Stefan so technically if she falls in प्यार with some other guy while she loves the first guy then she wasn't that into the first guy at all. Sure आप can प्यार two different guys in different ways but not in the same intensity. Eventually आप will have to choose which प्यार आप want and need and which guy gives it to you. In conclusion I think that Elena will always have a certain "type" of प्यार for Stefan and Damon BUT which type will win out for her is to be seen एक साल  से अधिक पुराना

So I haven't read the interview and don't plan too. But the negativity is annoying, so here's a little off topic thought. The writers always seem to give us a few good Delena scenes through the season, but leave the amazing scenes to the final. (does it say anything about their thoughts that they always focus on Delena in finale, not stelena?) So most people have the idea that TVD will last 6 seasons (have the writers said?) so heres what I think will happen on each finale:

Now this may not happen, actually Im probably far off, but I say most of these will happen at some point. I just प्यार how selfless Damon is I was going through the पुस्तकें and came to this beautiful scene between Elena and Damon. They share this incredible scene after Elena exorcises the malach from him. It was almost too late for him. Elena uses her powers,which includes a very sweet and very gentle kiss. She proceeds to heal him of the many layers that surround his heart. Damon is filled with horrible sorrow and regret for the times he had hurt her. He vows to help her find Stefan. . .
