आप look up in awe as your guardian tells आप stories of हीरोस with capes and powers no normal human can have. The good they do to be awarded प्यार and respect, to earn the fear in their enemies, and to feel the weight of the world on them.

आप wish so badly to become a hero like those, to have powers and to save lives. Not a thought fills your head about the powers already developing in your young body, no trace of an idea of the destruction या construction they will bring to the fragile world around you.

Your young eyes narrow as your guardian pats your head and kisses आप before heading to बिस्तर and telling आप to do the same. आप begin to protest bu your guardian picks आप up and carries आप to your bed.

Filled with excitement आप can't sleep, आप beg for another story, but are rejected with a किस again and a hug before being put to rest. Slumber doesn't come easy. आप get up and look out the window.

आप heard of stories where princesses या princes wished upon stars and got what they wanted. But आप where neither of those things. आप where you. A growl escapes your lips but आप look up at the sky and wish so hard to meet a superhero.

Fate has a different path for you.

आप open your eyes and hiss as nothing is different. Suddenly the powers, that have been cooped up for so long, are released. A glossy gaze fills your eyes as आप realized what just happened. Staring at your hands आप don't understand... but you. Less than ordinary you, extraordinary you.

आप can't understand, you're too young to even comprehend, that you'll have to kill people and save people for yourself and आप know आप will live a life of doubt, love, evil, good, you'll leave loved ones, make friends, watch them die.. Will आप be a hero? A villain? आप have no idea but that's up to fate to decide on what path आप follow.

Okay, I'm having one of those moments again. The kind where I get all depressed about Mercy becoming evil (because I really didn't want her to!) and about how there are WAY to many OC's!
