द वैंपायर डायरीज टीवी शो Article: A bad start for season 3?

I have been obsessed with the vampire diaries for like ever and I was so excited for this season to start! However, after watching the first and सेकंड episodes, it felt kind of boring for some reason. I think that the whole season 3 is meant to have a और upbeat and less of a गॉथिक and dark atmosphere, like season 2, but for some reason I don't feel the same spark and passion and i guess, epicness that season 2 really had. i have also heard about the ratings and number of viewers plummet and so i feel like i'm not the only one who thinks that there's something missing. I noticed that I am losing interest in the show, because I forgot about the new 'hybrid' 3x02 episode that premiered on thursday, so i watched it later over the weekend on dvr.

20cosmogirl i think more people DVR and watch later and watch other shows live. i loved 3x02, especially the Damon and Elena scene awesome.

Mcutieface I understand, but you have to remember how hard it is for a show to get back in to things when the season starts again. Especially when you have a show like TVD where every episode is pretty much big. I know it might seem a bit boring now, but i'm pretty sure it will get better. After all, this is TVD we're talking about. :)

JAlanaE I can understand that some people think there's something missing in a way. I think it might be because season 3 has kind of a different feeling with Stefan away from Elena and Damon. It makes it hard to compare. But actually I enjoyed the first three episodes of season 3 very much.

Manonx I have the same feeling as you =) Though I thought episode 3 was definetely much better than 1 and 2. I think it will keep better as the season progresses, and when we get used to Stefan being away from Elena and the rippah-stuff, which is too weird to me right now. I don't think you should stop watching just because of 2 less awesomer (is that even good English? =P) episodes ^^

Mintyllama I like season 3. I find it far superior to the other seasons. Though that's probably because of the lovely amounts of Klefan.

jesse_hulm 1st few episodes in a new season are always slow as the story lines need to be built up. Episode 3 was geat and I think as we get further into the season it will be epic.
