I say without the Phantom Reviewer because I certainly can't get through the movie with him. I started watching it on netflix, and just couldn't get through it, so I watch his EPIC seven part review for a little pick me up.

I'm allowed to mock it, though, right?

Actually I have gotten through the DA before the Phantom Reviewer's delightful version even existed, but it required a lot of sugar and my best friend to laugh at it with me back in high school.

Just thought I'd start a little debate on which one's worse. I vote DA. I could sit through LND. I love a lot of the songs (even Bathing Beauty, though I abhor the fact that our beloved Phantom is supposed to have written it. It's an okay song for the time period. Sounds like something they'd sing). That movie is just no... no.

I'm surprised that some people actually picked DA. I know a few people who would definitely pick it (TGITPC), but I would much rather see LND.

I changed my mind now that I know pretty much the whole plotline and many many details of the LND shit.

I'd rather watch Dario's shit any day rather than LND.

Both of those versions are equally tastless but of course in very different ways.

I actually chose to watch Dario Argento's shit out of my own free will that one time, just so I could say I've seen all PotO versions I've got my hands on, even though I knew how nightmarish DA's is. But I have absolutely no intentions watching LND, ever, not even once. Enduring DA's shit was posisble for one because they clearly weren't meant to be the actual PotO characters thus you could try and set your mind that way - plus most of your mind focused on coping and blocking all the sick shit thrown at your face. But LND is just painfully nonsense and crappy and more importantly crosses the line by officially raping and disrespecting the characters I love as in ALW himself confirming that they're meant to be the very same characters.

I'm guessing the most significant difference in my likely feeling if I was forced to watch LND, seeing to how I felt after watching DA's PotO... is that I wouldn't feel the need to wash my eye-balls.

Besides, I don't think Dario really meant any phan to take that shit as a serious adaptation. But ALW wants us to take LND seriously and like it regardless of how nonsense and offensive it is.

Thus, yes, I'd rather watch utterly sick and twisted shit adaptation of PotO wherein the characters have pretty much only the names and some core storyline in common to anything PotO, than endure the utter offense and nonsense to two canons that is however officially meant as a serious sequel to something beautiful.

But of course, as this pick so wisely puts it; only if my life was at stake.

Sooo if a KILLER walked up to me and threatened me to watch any movie I'd sit my butt down and watch so long as he didn't kill me! But I've heard SOME good things about LND and nothing good about DA's movie

TBUGoth picked प्यार Never Dies:
"The Phantom of the Opera" 1986 musical is a whimsical fariy-tale. "Love Never Dies" brings Roul, Christine, the Phantom, Madame Giry, and Meg Giry down to our Earth, and into our socity, and in our socity people REALLY DO change that much over ten years, I know because I have lived over ten years. Meg kidnapps Gustave, Christine's and The Phantom's son, and almost drowns him. When Christine, the Phantom, and Madme Giry arrive to save Gustave, Meg, saying she feels unwanted points a gun at her head, But when the Phantom tells her the most obvious thing that she will never be like Christine, instead of just admiring her friend, because of the latter fact or shooting and killing herself, because of the latter fact, she shoots and kills Chistine! This sounds like premeditated murder. Though this is sad it carrys two great morals. the first being life sucks! deal with it in a constuctive manner, please! Because the Phantom deals with life through his music, and does not kill anyone in the sequel, Meg deals with life through distucive behavior. The second one is fame is dangerous, goes without explnation. Though the morals are hash, the story, because it is about characters from "The Phantom of the Opera" deals with these morals, in a safe and confertable way. However I do not think this musical should be viewed by those under thirteen.

I would say Love never dies because the killer wouldn't know that i actually liked Love Never Dies. Yes it had some bad things in it but there was some good music and it was creative for something that really no would have ever though to make a sequel on.
