It is stated that a covered द्वारा soil stargate can not be conected to. Yet on at less two shows soil covered gate were conected to. How can this be

i think that the gate will work as long as nothing is inside it. for instance the iris works because it is slightly above the event horizon. but is something was to be sticking through it, it would not work. that's just my guess
