What are प्रॉप्स for?

I've been here for almost a year, and I should probably know what they are, but I don't. Do they do something special, या are they just a way of complimenting someone for something they have done?

They're supposed to be दिया to someone when आप like a video, link, article, etc. they पेश या a टिप्पणी दे they made. Complimenting someone's आइकन या आदर्श वाक्य is good too.

Obviously though, they're not really used like that anymore. Years पूर्व there weren't walls on फैन्पॉप and so people would talk to each other द्वारा propping back and forth. I think it mostly just stuck, and people like the look of having high प्रॉप counts. *shrugs*
