Why was संगीत so much better in the 60's 70's and 80's?

Because back then songs werent about sex,drugs,cheating and getting away with it,who f***ed who,who's chick bad,kissing ppl through the phone,people not liking your girlfriend so आप should get a new one,people being in a state of disturbia,grown men walking around in leopard print undies, अंडे doing the wiggle,wiggle wiggle yeah,just things that have no value for your life...They just make some people feel weird and insecure about themselves because they havent done the stupid things the songs talk about,which leads to them doing unthinkable things.thats what i think.
And आप see,people back then had ACTUAL talent.They didnt computerise their voices and could sing live.These days when आप go to a concert,its ALL Lip syncing and they cant even dance while doing it.Look at people like michael jackson,he could Do a super complex dance and sing live at the same time-BECAUSE he had ACTUAL talent.

Because nowadays we have rap about having sex and big butts. At least that's what mainstream is about. Good संगीत nowadays still exists, आप just have to dig :P

This is a great question. I think संगीत was SOO much better in the 60s, 70s, and 80s because people had real talent for one. And they also looked good, didn't use autotune to make their voices sound "better", they could play live. I also think people also had something good to write about and they had great song लेखन ability. I mean no a days आप just have all this crap songs with no meaning to them. Back then, pretty much all songs had some true meaning to them. Now, not so much.

That's an opinion आप have. And I share it with you... ;) In my opinion, संगीत from 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's was much better than what we have today. I hear lots of हाल का songs that have the same two rythms over and over again.

...Over... and over... AGAIN... Sickening. There are a few हाल का songs that I like though. Such as "Someone I Used To Know", द्वारा Gotye.

आप forgot the 50's and I agree I grew up listing to all that my grandpa was a nut for that music

I wouldnt' say the 60's had good music, maybe not even the 70's. I think the 80's had the best music.

Well,my opinion about today is that संगीत years पूर्व was all writen द्वारा hand and played also. Lots of today's संगीत is putten up together with many computer programmes,it's cool to me tough. Many people say that years पूर्व singers used to sing any kind of song with such emotion, like आप can really feel that the song was not written just like this but in some special way, and alot of them say that the संगीत that's today isn't shown up with such strong emotions and as we all know people, style , संगीत etc. changes very much through the years so these could be the reason why संगीत was better years पूर्व than now , but there are still many artists today that प्यार to sing their दिल out with passion. :)There are also many new styles of संगीत these days. & also the messages of the songs. Today there's mostly about ''pure sex'' & stuff. Back then it was ''pure प्यार making'' :) <3333

संगीत was a lot simpler and very basic back then.

Today, artists tend to add a lot और flash to be ambitious and innovative. It's good if you're into it. It's not if you're not.

Back then we didn't have:

-LMFAO, who sing about how good looking they THINK they are...
-Selena Gomez, who sings about how great प्यार is...with Justin Bieber...
-T-Pain who loves his autotune...

And so many और that I can't remember at the moment.

Well, these days, I tend to lean away from rap, hip hop, metal, rock, alternative, या anything accepted द्वारा the general public here in California. But there's plenty of new संगीत that's just fantastic! For example, this awesome song was made just a few years back. Sung द्वारा Yoko Ishida, the best singer ever~! It's called White Destiny, and it's so beautiful!

This is sooo true i i only listen to 80s संगीत या older. im so sick and tired of these lyrics about tits, या dudes with shades and cars and girls with big asses in the back round >_<..id rather john lennon,mj,madonna etc

I have to disagree with you, I'm afraid.

Every time period has it's share of good and bad music, including the present day. It's just that most of the bad संगीत from the 60's, 70's and 80's has been forgotten about (I hope).

There is good modern संगीत out there, it just might take some time to find it. And if we're lucky all the bad संगीत we have now will be लॉस्ट in years to come.

I definitely agree with you. My answer to this would be that the संगीत industry is running out of ideas. Everything good has been taken, and whatever crap is left over is being thrown at us.

Pop may have gone awful but the best संगीत genre which will always be the best is Death Metal and Heavy Metal and Punk Rock and Hard Rock and Hip-Hop!!

Because संगीत back then wasn't autotuned, stupid, या slutty. But there are some really cool modern musicians/bands, but most of them are in the rock genre, like Pink, Within Temptation, Skillet, and Cryoshell.

My theory:
We didn't have autotune, so talent was necessary.

I guess its because people were और creative back then. Most songs have been recycled and nothing is really new anymore. There are songs about anything now and the songs don't have to make sense.

Considering my प्रिय artists are modern, I would say it's not all too bad. But that's your opinion. And in a way you're right, especially when it comes to today's hip-hop and rap music. My boyfriend says that he likes 80's and 90's hip-hop/rap better because it isn't all auto-tuned and most of them talked about stuff going on in the world and others things rather than "screwing big booty bitches" (and that's really how he कहा it too), doing drugs, and shooting people like today's hip-hop and rap. And I don't completely like the pop stuff. While I do like Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears, I don't like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, या Lil' Wayne. (No offense to anyone who likes these artists)

I actually like today's music. Not the mainstream stuff, but the underrated artists that actually have meaning to their songs.

Because people are uncreative. I don't really like संगीत from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, though. Nor do I like most of what plays these days (with a few exceptions.) There are some और mainstream artists that I like like Taylor तत्पर, तेज, स्विफ्ट and Nicki Minaj, but mostly I stick to और unknown bands like The Pierces and Digital Daggers.

People in the 60's-80's acctually possesed talent! Today they may be able to write a stupid song that might rhyme but they cant sing they autotune :( Some of the songs are okayish but it will never compare to the oldies! Its not just the संगीत either its the whole era! Everbody thinks everything is about drugs, sex, alchohol, and parties that also involves the other stuff! I HATE IT!!! I wish I was born in the 80's!

I don't really like 60's, 70's and 80's music.

I like today's संगीत better.

Don't forget the 90s. मेटालिका was epic. They still are.
