बिना सोचे समझे सवाल

I have a सवाल for American users...

Ok well, before आप shoot me या anything because this may come across as offensive, just be aware that I am asking this just to clarify. Anyways, so I'm in this वाद-विवाद thingy at school and one दिन we were talking about racism and someone mentioned that in America they are taught that America is "the ideal country". Now, I'm not saying that I think this is true, but again just asking to clarify my confusion.

And I meant in schools btw >.<

It's not taught like that in schools at all. Back in 10th grade, I won a वाद-विवाद in social studies class representing Japan. The वाद-विवाद was, "Who started WWII. U.S. या Japan" My teacher actually declared team जापान the winner. So... Global history is looked upon as global. But there is alot of pride here. Some have it और than others, but it's basically patriotism. I don't exactly agree with everything our country does. As a matter of fact, I disagree with quite a bit of it. But I'm still an American, and I take pride in that. Just patriotism. If someone from IDK... Germany was waving their flag around saying, "We're number 1!" I'll understand. He/She is a proud German and I respect that. I hope I'm making sense, but yeah...

@PL: I'm not saying we don't have it as bad as other countries, I'm just pointing out how stupid optimism is because it really is shitty here. We're quiet far from both freedom and equality.

Funny... 'cause it kinda is XD I recall being really young, like 9 या so, and being taught in social studies while learning about immigration that everyone wanted to come to America because it was a free country with so much opportunity and that being an immigrant to America changed people's lives.
When I got older, I had a history teacher who was extremely factual, and told us all about the hardships immigrants went through thanks to Americans. I can recall being 12 या so and being completely shocked when I heard that XD Oh, what a naive child I was...

Yes, really... we even had to do a project once of an immigration journal where आप had to explain an immigrant's journey in first person. I got assigned as the Hungarian immigrant (I प्यार how I wanted to be the French immigrant then XD) and the end was supposed to be an epilouge of a descendant of this person लेखन about how happy their life in America is now -.-

My dad's from America so i've grown up kinda like an American, but mainly in Australia and Britain.

I believe what they mean is that America a sort of 'outlawed' racism and inequality, and दिया it's people may freedomes not awarded in other countries therefore making it 'ideal'.

We're not taught straight out- We're the best.
But as we learn about our country and etc, we're basically taught that we're the overpowering country in a sense.

No, no I've never been taught that. At least in my school district, the teachers always taught us the facts. I learned the flaws along with the positives. "Ideal country," lmao. No one I know is that delusional.
