i saw a video here before the movie was released saying that it would be "the beginning of the end" cause of Equstria Girls...and i havent even watched the trailer yet!! so i thought that they might be right cause were all broinies and all...but when i saw the trailer i was actually excited to watch it!! and then i knew it was going to be great!! i mean its still the same cast how wouldnt it be great?! XD

I think the trailer was quite misleading. I thought it was going to be like a High School Musical stuff. But actually it was really well written (wouldn't expect any less from Megan McCarthy btw), they gave a whole reason for this Princess of the School thing. Furthermore, Sunset Shimmer was a pretty good antagonist. I also liked the little nods to the fans, like Vinyl, Photo Finish, Trixie, the CMC, the Transformers sound effect at the beginning, etc. Plus the animation was awesome, but I was counting on that. The Twilight moments were good too, the problems she had to overcome felt logical and "real". So yeah, it was surprisingly good.

It was the best.

I loved it. The way I looked at it: it was a really long episode. It was not the best episode; it would probably be lower on my list. But I love every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, so that doesn't even matter. I thought it was well written, cute, and funny. It addressed some issues that are relevant to many people, especially those in school.

And I got my in-between-season pony fix. That's always important.
