With her brief speech, 11-year-old Paris Jackson also shocked the event's organizers, who कहा her appearance was not a planned part of Tuesday's star-studded tribute to the "King of Pop" at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
"Ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father आप could ever imagine," she said, fighting back tears as relatives consoled her.
"And I just want to say that I प्यार him so much," she कहा as she burst into tears and sought refuge in the embrace of family members. Watch her emotional goodbye »
For many watching, Paris' appearance marked a rare glimpse of a child who has spent most of her life shielded from the public.
Born to two mothers -- Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe and an unidentified woman who reportedly served as a surrogate -- Jackson's three children lived and traveled the world with him, their faces often covered द्वारा veils and masks when appearing in public.
In its execution, the speech appeared to be a surprise to those onstage and off.
"It was a surprise they were there. All of us who know them were delighted they were strong enough to come and feel this प्यार and great outpouring for their dad," Kenny Ortega, the choreographer ("Dirty Dancing") who was directing Jackson's "This Is It" comeback concerts in London, England, told CNN's Campbell Brown. "We would've never expected that they had the strength. It was beautiful." Watch Ortega express his surprise at Paris Jackson's tribute »
Ortega, a longtime Jackson colleague who helped डिज़ाइन the singer's 1990s tours, कहा planners left the end of the दिखाना open for family members to speak if they wished to, but he was surprised when the Jackson clan -- among them, his siblings and children -- went onstage for the two last songs, "We Are the World" and "Heal the World."
Marlon Jackson told the crowd that his sister, pop तारा, स्टार Janet Jackson, wished to say some words. Instead, Janet appeared to encourage Paris to come आगे from the sea of black dresses and सूट्स and take the microphone, adjusting it and stroking the child's hair as Paris delivered her words.
Ortega कहा he was touched द्वारा Paris' speech.
"Michael was so close with these beautiful children," he said.
"Little Paris was his biggest fan. ... A little girl couldn't प्यार her papa more."
The heartfelt display sparked a groundswell of emotion in the auditorium and around the world, where millions of viewers watched the service on टेलीविज़न and the Internet.
"The saddest moment was when Michael Jackson's daughter spoke," कहा Angelina Martinez, who attended the service with her daughter, Jessica.
"She was really in pain. Everybody was crying inside," she said. "It was beauty combined with sadness."
Attendees, performers and speakers alike struggled for composure throughout the two-plus-hour event, which featured performances from Lionel Richie, Jennifer Hudson and Usher.
But to many, Paris' tribute cast Jackson in the one role few have experienced him as: a father.
"It was very, very touching, and really it was an example of the good parent Michael was, because when I was at Neverland and with the kids he really was a good loving father -- they had a fantastic relationship, and they were very close-knit," Stuart Backerman said.
"So to see Paris come on in such an emotional moment and obviously give her दिल out to her father was very, very touching."
Others saw the tribute as a whole as Jackson's final legacy to his children.
"There are those I feel in years to come, will try to distort him to his children ... and not understand that the real challenges that Michael Jackson had to seriously face and did face and make a difference," the Rev. Al Sharpton said.
"And I thought it was very important to put in context for his children what he dealt with in history and what he was able to do."

Ryan White, symbol of justice
या child of innocence, messenger of love
Where are आप now, where have आप gone?
Ryan White, I miss your sunny days
We carelessly frolicked in extended plays
I miss you, Ryan White
I miss your smile, innocent and bright
I miss your glory, I miss your light
Ryan White, symbol of contradiction
Child of Irony, या child of fiction?
I think of your shattered life
Of your struggle, of your strife
While ladies dance in the moonlit night
Champage parties on charted cruises
I see your wasted form, your ghostly sight
I feel your festering wounds, your battered bruises
Ryan White, symbol of agony and pain
Of ignorant fear gone insane
In a hysterical society
With free-floating anxiety
And feigned piety
I miss you, Ryan White
आप showed us how to stand and fight
In the rain आप were the cloudburst joy
The sparkle of hope in every girl and boy
In the depths of your anguished sorrow
Was the dream of another tomorrow

People ask me how I make music. I tell them I
just step into it.It's like stepping into a river and
joining the flow. Every moment in the river has
it's song. So I stay in the moment and listen.
What I hear is never the same. A walk
through the woods brings a light, crackling
song:Leaves rustle in the wind, birds chatter and
Squirrels scold, twigs crunch underfoot, and
the beat of my दिल holds it all together. When
आप शामिल होइए the flow, the संगीत is inside and outside,
and both are the same. As long as I can listen to
the moment, I'll always have music.

Michael Jackson's children definitely have the bug -- the one that makes आप give away large sums of money -- because they just helped make a $10,000 donation to one of MJ's प्रिय charities.
Earlier this week, Prince, Paris, and Blanket presented a check for $10K to the L.A. Housing Corporation -- a group that provides shelter for homeless families. Sources tell us Michael used to take his kids to volunteer with the group.
We're told the massive chunk o' change came from grandma Katherine Jackson's memorabilia biz.
MJ's heirs made the donation on behalf of his Heal the World Foundation. All three of them joined the group's Youth Board of Advisors last year.

The prosecutor in the Michael Jackson manslaughter preliminary hearing -- which begins tomorrow -- will not call Michael's eldest son, Prince Michael, to testify about what he saw the दिन his dad died ... sources tell TMZ.
Dr. Conrad Murray has कहा after administering CPR he ran downstairs and asked the chef to send up Prince Michael, who saw his dad's lifeless body lying in the bed.
In fact, we're told no one from MJ's family will be called to the stand during the prelim.
As TMZ first reported, prosecutors plan to call 30 witnesses during the 2-week prelim ... many of whom will be medical professionals offering opinions about the standard of care administered द्वारा Dr. Murray.
There will be no "star witness" in the prelim. Sources tell us the various witnesses will form building blocks, making the case that Dr. Murray acted recklessly द्वारा administering Propofol and other drugs to Jackson the दिन he died.

Michael Jackson. Words cant describe Michael Jackson. His संगीत describes him. Michael J. will always be the king of pop to everybody. Even if आप प्यार him या आप don't he will still be the king of pop. And no one will be able to take his place.

Michael will always be remembered for what he accomplished and we are thankful for him. Sources connected with the Michael Jackson/Sony deal tell TMZ ... among the 10 albums in the works is a remaster of "Off the Wall" -- with the help of none other than Quincy Jones.
We're told the plan is for Quincy to take charge of the project, which will include some never-before-heard outtakes.
Another album will feature the soundtrack to the upcoming Jackson-themed Cirque du Soleil दिखाना in Las Vegas.
There are reports circulating that Sony will release 10 original albums, but that's not true. In addition to the release of "MICHAEL" on Tuesday, we're told there will be at least one other album with original songs and at most two.

Certain items found in the room where Michael Jackson died could help shape Dr. Conrad Murray's defense -- namely, that other docs were medicating Michael.
Sources connected with the case tell TMZ ... evidence in the room suggests certain potent drugs were "prescribed and prepared" for MJ to self-medicate.
As we first reported, Dr. Murray's team will not challenge the L.A. County Coroner's finding that Jackson died of a massive Propofol overdose. But as we told you, Murray's team will present evidence in the doc's manslaughter case that Michael awakened, then gave himself the fatal dose of Propofol when Murray left the room.
We're told Murray's team hasn't decided if it will use the evidence found in the room to implicate other doctors in Jackson's death. But we do know Murray's legal team will present evidence during the trial that the fruits of Jackson's notorious doctor shopping over two decades wore his body down.
The rep for Dr. Murray's lawyer refused comment.
