It was four in the morning and House was still unable to sleep. The current case seemed unsolvable, and his mood changes were becoming और erratic. Letting out a much needed sigh, House got out of बिस्तर and headed to the kitchen.
He knew looking in the fridge would be futile considering all he had was some cottage cheese and a case of beer. Hunger wasn't really the problem anyhow. The problem was that he needed और than another solitary night of sleeplessness and chronic pain. His pain days were getting worse and he knew most of that had to do with the rapid changes to his personal life.
Cuddy loved him one दिन and hated him the next. Well, that never really bothered him before. However, things changed once she लॉस्ट Joy and he came over to make amends for all his harsh critiques. She was angry at his ability to negate everything, and he was nearly speechless द्वारा the depths of her despair. The only thought he remembered thinking was that he wanted her for himself. The किस happened soon after and so did the panicked exit.
The months since that night had been strange, fun, annoying, and depressing. They played office politics for a week, and he felt her up. She was pissed, and he was ashamed. He sent her the desk, but she never came द्वारा to say she liked it. So, that night he went घर and slept with the 'actress' and tried to forget the grey-blue eyes he had grown so accustomed to. The holidays came and she was cold toward him. The banter felt strained and she wasn't flirting anymore. The baby came and she was gone...for a week.
He made sure she'd be back because he couldn't take the time to manipulate Cameron. Secretly, he didn't want to accept a poor man's version of his प्रिय administrator. He would never tell her this though. She was pissed again but this time wanted to hurt him with और than just evil glares and curt greetings. A trip wire was in the office. The elevator was 'broken'. He had no electricity in his home. She wanted him to cry या scream या just admit he was a bastard. Instead he did nothing and she apologized. Things were slightly better between them and slightly closer to normal. But he wasn't so sure the staus quo was right for them anymore.
It scared him to think that he actually had a future. He had resigned himself to a slow demise through drug and alcohol abuse, but now he thought about her और than his mortality. The thoughts were fairly romantic which bugged him to no end. Scenarios of coming घर to her warm smile, tight embrace, and soft lips filled his contemplative hours alone in his office.
House sighed to himself once और as he sat down on the सोफ़ा, सोफे and propped his leg on a pillow. He could have done so many things differently these last few months, but of course he made the situation और difficult each passing day. He couldn't keep blaming the tragedy of his losing Stacy on why he wouldn't हटाइए on to the अगला great प्यार of his life. It was time to do something that was definitive and couldn't be mistaken for anything other than his complete need to be with her.

It was crazy, he knew, but he was going to do what Wilson had only bluffed about doing three years ago. He was going to walk into her office and pull her into a kiss.

He could see her pouring over some paper work. A half eaten सैंडविच was beside her on the desk. It had been hours since lunch. Dusk was settling in and her room was dark except for her डेस्क lamp's soft illumination.
House ran his hands through his hair for a moment. He debated about leaving his cane but decided against it. He pulled out his Vicodin and dry swallowed two pills. He slowly limped his way to her office.

She was so immersed in her current file that she did not notice him closing the blinds near her door and locking कहा door. Nor did she realize he was standing in front of her डेस्क quietly watching her. It wasn't until she heard a subtle inhalation of breath that she looked up to catch him staring rather intently at her.
She was waiting for him to say something. He would no doubt spout some crazy medical procedure या make a rather immature joke about her cleavage. Instead he walked toward her, stood in front of her chair, and without much finesse pulled her out of her chair. She was about to yell in response to his rather dubious behavior when his mouth found residence on चोटी, शीर्ष of hers. His lips sucked at hers urging her to melt against him and let his tongue enter.
He smiled at her allowance and let his hands find the small of her back. She placed her own hands around his neck and pulled him closer. She pressed against him as he in turn pushed her back against the desk. She moaned at the action.
She slowly broke from the किस and looked quickly at the door. She was relieved to see he had drawn the blinds. She looked back at him and smiled shyly. It was the most adorable look he had ever seen. Throwing his cane on the floor he pulled his जैकेट off and started to unbutton his कमीज, शर्ट when her hands suddenly took over the task.
He kissed her gently on the neck as she pulled his कमीज, शर्ट open. He could feel her hands touching his chest and at the sensation he couldn't help but to moan in response. He took the कमीज, शर्ट off of his body and pushed her to lay back down on the desk.

Hovering above her he could hear her breath quicken with anticipation over what they were about to partake in. It had been years since they had been connected in this way. He was about to say something profound and sappily romantic, but her hand began to trace his beard, and he could no longer remember what he was going to say. He smiled softly in response. She smiled back. It was enough of a statement for now to know she was happy to be like this with him and that she made him just as happy.
House leaned down to किस her gently on the lips. His hand began a task of its own.
