cassie-1-2-3 So... There should be more romantic kissing earler on in the series, since it is about romance. And this picture was created to depict the difference between romance love and family love. Both are different types of love and one is not "better" than the other, so this in no way povides any point of how Harry Potter is better than Twilight. It really says nothing important.

Persephone713 OH you guys- Dont you realize that what Bella/Edward have is nothing more than LUST-look it up. Harry Potter has oodles of Love in so many different ways and shapes. Sacrifice, Friendship, forbidden, Love some never knew was there. And yes we have lust/crushes ( Bellatrix anyone-XD). But Sacrifice and Friendship can be more meaningful and deep than some teenager angst/ lust story. I mean...they want to compare this to Romeo and Juliet? Guess what those to " star-crossed lovers" did- killed themselves under false pretenses. You think Shakespeare was trying to make a point. Or how about Ophelia killing herself over Hamlet? Bunch of dumb young people. Epic Lovers= but dumb young people. OH and Im not an old bag. Im 21.

VampPhoenix99 260 pages is like, five hours of actual story for Twilight, considering the amount of pages and descriptions. So, not all the same day, necessarily, but actual moments captured in the story. And if I`m correct, that is barely any interaction between them at this point. So cut that into, say, two hours of that story in which they actually know each other. Now, it`s not like it`s two hours after they meet, but two hours of them interacting after knowing who the other one is. Not *as* bad as it could be, but wait. It took them about, not counting descriptions/detail, or when they weren`t interacting, TWO PAGES for them to fall madly in love. Ron and Hermione took many books to get together, and they were not as in love as Edward and Bella are described to be. And in Harry Potter, you figure that was about 2,000 pages of them being friends. I mean, book 5 is 870 pages, book 4 is 735 pages, etc. and nothing is described in excruciating detail. So, let`s say that the Twilight characters are already teenagers, right? Now, when Ron and Hermione met, they were both 11. Yet even when they were teenagers, they did not fall in love nearly as quickly. And Hermione stuck by her friends, whereas Bella forgot hers. Ron made one slightly meh comment in DH, about how the deluminator showed him where to find his friends. In Twilight however, Edward and Bella quite often say extremely cheesy things to one another, not even noticed as being really creepy. I cannot, with the extent of my debating abilities, defend Twilight.
