People are passionate about defending their पुस्तकें that they love. I know that and I’ve done it. What’s really disturbing is when the users of फैन्पॉप use this site to bring people down या just to openly hate.

Harry Potter and Twilight are going to be compared. No other two पुस्तकें have the same rabid following and they both have strong roots in the supernatural. I welcome वाद-विवाद and exchanging of opinions, when it’s friendly. Some of the टिप्पणियाँ I’ve seen on these मंचों could not be called friendly debate. It just makes me sick when I know that there are people out there that are willing to be so mean just based on the words of people we don’t even know. It’s not worth it to me to sacrifice the person that I want to be just to defend my book of choice.

I think this applies to Harry Potter प्रशंसकों as well as Twilight ones. In general, Twilight प्रशंसकों are the most verbal is expressing their प्यार for the books. Most of the insane प्रशंसक stories I hear are of Twilight fans, annd likewise most of the profane टिप्पणियाँ that I see are from them as well. But Harry Potter प्रशंसकों are just as able to do these things.
