This is just a rant of a harmony fanboy, not an actual fan-fiction. However I am लेखन this to address a very specific point so feel free to read and टिप्पणी दे whether you’re a harmony प्रशंसक या not. However note that I am a Harmony fanboy and will not be being overly sensitive in reference to other ships. Also note I’m addressing harmony प्रशंसकों specifically in this.
Harmony (H/HR) प्रशंसकों have taken their fair share of hits over the years. The most obvious being harmony did not become canon, JKR had a different idea of how romance would occur amongst her characters. I am not here to वाद-विवाद या complain about that (however I am in no way defending it either). But ever since then we have taken our fair share of snide remarks and flames for standing द्वारा our pairing. There have been different things over the years, most ridiculous and easily dismissible but there’s always been one single thing that just gets under my skin like nothing else. It’s something बगला, बगुला (R/HR) प्रशंसकों will say to us:
“Harry and Hermione are और like brother and sister”
This statement is nothing less than fucking stupid.
Do any of आप have any siblings at all within your age group? Do you? Now think for a minute, how do आप act around them? Do आप get along? Are आप best friends?
Of course आप don’t.
Siblings fight like बिल्ली and dogs. This isn’t a cliché, it isn’t a generalization, it’s a universal fact. If you’re not bickering then you’re probably ignoring each other. I’m not saying आप hate each other या that आप never stop fighting, just the majority of the time. And yes, I’m talking about teenagers mostly since that’s what Harry and Hermione are. So if you’re a forty साल old and आप want to tell me about how great आप get along with your siblings, I don’t care. It doesn’t count.
So how do Harry and Hermione act?
Well they generally get along pretty well, occasionally they disagree but they both respect each other enough to come to some sort of agreement. They share a few similar interests, they laugh together, they cry together and they mostly understand each other.
Does that sound like siblings to you?
Don’t believe me yet? आप don’t have any siblings yourself to confirm? That’s okay, then let’s look at siblings portrayed in the Harry Potter universe. Meaning Ron and Ginny. Ron and Ginny don’t get along all that well. Most of the time Ron considers his sister to be nothing और than an annoyance and Ginny see Ron as just some idiot. While they keep full out fighting to a minimum most of their dialogue is bickering. While deep down they care for each other, on the surface it’s anything but. Ron’s only signs of caring for Ginny are his overly protective nature for who she’s dating. The only times they’re seen working together is during very serious situations usually where they’re fighting for their lives.
Again, this sounds nothing at all like how Harry and Hermione act. But आप know who it does sound like?

Oh yeah those two are fighting nonstop. What with Ron not respecting Hermione या her interests and Hermione’s disgust at Ron’s तालिका, टेबल manners आप could mistake them for siblings.
Now I’m not going to use this to bash heron, I’m only trying to get my point across. So please if आप want to hate HHR (and u shouldn’t) at least have a better reason than that. And to my fellow HHR प्रशंसकों hopefully I’ve been of help to आप if आप ever get in an argument where someone tries to use this as justification to bash your प्रिय pairing. I’m open to any टिप्पणियाँ on the matter.
