I've added Chey (ineedcoffee)because I don't think she's ever been nominated for FOTF and I strongly believe she deserves a chance at it.
Chey isn't the biggest contributor in terms of uploading stuff 24/7 but she's a hell of an active user. Her comments and participation can be seen thoughout the site and I have never seen this user make anything but friendly, encouraging comments everywhere. She's a fantastic Fanpopper!
I don't think she's on vacation any longer but I haven't seen Chey around for a little while. Maybe she's donned her crocs and gone camping for a bit,lol?!!

I also just want to applaud PkmnTrainerJ for always including some users who are less well-known in the FOTF picks. I think it's a very nice change of pace from picks that only include the most popular users. It's nice to find new faces, meet new people... and give some new people some exposure and some credit.

Also, I really respect you for updating us on what happened with the Rusty situation in the last pick. I was wondering what happened (as I know others were) and whoever it is that removed her doesn't seem too eager to own up to it. So thank you for letting us all know what happened.

Guys, I really don't understand why you people feel the need to sabotage your chance of winning by going against the rules. It's clearly stated that you neither add nor vote for yourselves in these type of picks. I'm sure everyone must be aware of this rule.
Now, I nominated ineedcoffee because I thought (as stated in comments) that she was very deserving of this.

I had just voted for ineedcoffee, because I've always seen her everywhere leaving nice comments. But after reading Cammie's comment I've changed my mind, although I don't understand it and I'm hoping for a logical explanation so I can re-vote for her.

Aww, thank you, Ashley. Like I said in my email to you a few days ago I thought you were treated unfairly. I still don't know what happened in your case but from what I saw (because I was online) about 20 of your votes just disappeared in a short amount of time.

I could've sworn that when I checked Chey's profile the second time that the vote had been retracted but another user alerted me that it was still up. I had been checking other profiles so I surpose I made a mistake there.
I just want to say that I know Chey (as a user) quite well and I was only too surprised when I saw a vote cast by her for herself.
She says she didn't. I do believe her. I believe her because voting for herself seems out of charater for this user.

OK I would like you to look at my recent activity, I just came back, I have been offline for about 3-4 hours I was off with my roommate but I really can't be bothered with fighting over it but I am not saying that it didn't say that I voted for myself I am saying that I PERSONALY didn't vote!

A hacker wouldn't hack into someone's account only to vote for that user in the Fan of the Fortnight pick.

A glitch wouldn't put one vote on one pick (which happens to be for the user in question in the Fan of the Fortnight pick) and then conveniently remove the pick once the user found out she'd been spotted.

I respect whatever anyone wants to believe about this situation... but for myself, I choose to believe my own eyes.

3. Can people add themselves to Fan Of The Fortnight?
The short answer is Yes. The long answer is Yes, but in 2007 fans were not allowed to vote for themselves. Though this rule is not enforced in the current Fan Of The Fortnight, the hope was that it's drilled in to fans enough not to do it, that it ceases anyways.
now granted im german and my english isnt the best but i read that as: you can vote for yourself if you want to but really you shouldnt...that doesnt sound like a rule to me- more of a suggestion cause as we all agree voting for yourself is lame!

What's with all the finger-pointing here? If Chey did vote for herself (I don't believe she did) attacking her and writing her off as a user is not the right way of going about the matter! As Germs and Obby said, it's NOT against the rules, so, while it may be frowned upon, it really isn't the end of the world! ineedcoffee is a user I have respected and admired for ages, one little slightly bad action does not make her the anti-Christ! The woman is meg, end of... :D

That thing Germany posted only mentions adding yourself, as far as I can see. Maybe there's more said there.

I went by PkmnTrainerJ's comment in the last FOTF, since it was fresh in my mind: "Third, rusty, generally voting for and adding yourself to FOTF is not allowed. So, in this instance, I will be taking you off the list."

This was even in a special case, as Rusty AND all the votes for her (she had been winning) were mysteriously removed from the pick before the voting ended. She had not originally added herself OR voted for herself - but only did so because she disappeared from a pick she was winning just before the end of the pick and was trying to fix the problem.

So if Rusty was told it was against the rules, even though she had a justifiable reason for doing so, I don't see how it should suddenly be okay for ineedcoffee to vote for herself for no good reason this week. So yes, I do feel I was justified in pointing out that she had done so and that it is against the rules.

However, I don't even care if she's removed. I simply wanted to call this to people's attention and I felt that she should at least remove the vote.

Then she chose to take this to a whole different level by retracting the vote and pretending she had no idea it ever happened. The time to claim it was a glitch or an accident was when she retracted the vote. "Oh, guys, I don't know what happened, but I fixed it!" might've worked. But she chose to remove the evidence and then lie about it. That vote, regardless of how it was placed, didn't magically remove itself right before she made her comment. Even had it been a "glitch" or someone else at her computer, she would've known something was up when she removed the vote. She wouldn't have said, "what the heck I just came across this pick and haven't even voted yet why would you say I voted for my self? I AM CONFUSED???"

And while I don't hate Chey and I'm not on a warpath to bring her down or anything, nor am I trying to defile all the good she's done on the site, I'm also not going to sit by while I'm LIED to blatantly and not speak up about it.

I'm not sure what the real truth is here but I voted for Chey before I read all these comments, and I still want to stick with her. Shes always been so kind and helpful. She's been around here for so long and I've never seen her on a Fan Of The Fortnight pick before, so it was great to see her up there. :)

astroasis if you go back and look at my comments you will see right after I made those first comments and seen that my name showed beside my name i right away said J you can remove me from the pick I was okay with that go back and read my comments. I still don't know and am not pretending to know what happened and you can go look up the FOTF in the search bar, I am pretty consistant, I really can't say much more than that but hey go at it some more, I really don't mind being removed and I said that back on the other page if you only read it.

coffee, saying "j, you can take me off I am fine with that." is not really the same as acknowledging that yes, the vote was somehow cast. And it did nothing to retract your previous statement of, "Why would you say that?"

Obviously, you saw the vote when you retracted it. It should've been obvious to you why I would say you had voted for yourself. Yet you said nothing to remedy that and left it hanging there.

And saying, "Why would you say that? I'M CONFUSED???" would seem to imply that you felt you were being wrongfully accused for no reason. Which was not the case at all.

And please remember, YOU were the one who did ask, "Why would you say that?" My screencap and further comments have merely served to answer that very question that YOU asked.

And despite there being a lot of comments being made about why you would never do this... I'd like to hear just one actual, realistic explanation of how it DID happen.

But still, I was basing my initial comments on what J said in the last FOTF, since that was fresh in my mind. I mean, he only just said last week that it's generally not allowed to vote for yourself. I don't think I've done anything wrong by going by something the pick-maker just said last week about his own picks.

But I'll say it again... I don't really care that she voted for herself. I care that she chose to claim she had no idea what I was talking about when I said she had done so. She didn't say she had no idea how that happened - She said she had no idea why anyone was saying it HAD happened.

She only started admitting it had happened at all once she was faced with proof. Now I'm being lynched here for standing by my guns that it happened and that it was wrong of her to claim otherwise. Imagine the field day everyone would be having with me if I hadn't had a screencap?

You all believe everything coffee's saying about all of this, even though it defies logic. Imagine whose side you would have taken and what would be said if it had remained my word versus hers? I would've been painted a liar who made it all up.

And she wouldn't have cared.

First: ineedcoffee, voilà my re-vote for you because I think you're awesome and I totally believe your explanation.

Second: there could be a fairly simple explanation, something that happens to me ALL THE TIME, coming from a big family with lots of people all using the same computer. Maybe somebody else used her computer, was logged in as ineedcoffee and voted for her. That person might not have known much about Fanpop, and thought it would just be a nice thing to do for her.
That makes perfect sense doesn't it?

Anyways, it's definately not worth all the fuss but I just wanted to give some logic in all this confusement.
