I dunno, it all depends on how the movie pans out to me.

I also wish and think that the head of Disney animation needs to realize that they need to have more fairytales and hand-drawn animation in the future. That is how Disney all started, and just cause we live in a time of technology doesn't mean we stop.

I'm not really a purist about it. Disney doesn't waste time on nostalgia. They're all about moving ahead with what people are into now, and people are into Pixar. They'd fall by the wayside if they just kept doing the same thing all the time.

Disney has been going on since 1920's with cartoons and almost 75 years with Fairytales/stories/legends and classic animation. I dont see how it can just be replaced by " Disney/PIXAR" and computers.

It easily can. I'm working for the Disney Company right now, and it really can, I assure you. If they don't keep moving forward, they will go under. You can't just exist and stay the same as culture changes, otherwise you'll fall apart.

Besides, Walt himself was all about the future. He loved technology and innovation and creativity. He liked the past, but existed in the future. That's what EPCOT was all about. He loved new things, new people, new ideas.

Yes, but Walt loved a good story, and his animators were like family. The time and effort they put into animation was like making something home-made. Look at your avatar " Snow White". There would be no Disney animation or Pixar without her.

Oh I'm not doubting that, and Pixar tells incredible stories. That's why people keep going back and why every single Pixar film has been a runaway success. I'm not bashing hand-drawn animation or fairytales. Clearly (since I'm an active member of this site,) I love both.:) I even prefer both. I'm just sticking up for the choices Disney has made as an insider. :) But I'm totally with you on the last comment.

I agree with Phantomrose89. Yes, the animation was great, and yes, without it there would be no Pixar, but we can't keep living in the past. They have to push forward and keep making these CGI films. Princess and the Frog didn't sell as well as they hoped partially because of this. Without records, we wouldn't have mp3 players, but they're not going to produce records again. I'm sure people who saw records go to tapes were complaining too, but they just wouldn't sell well.

It's a dream of mine to work for Disney, and/or Pixar...to me, the masterpieces they create are on a similar level level of exquisite quality, and they mean a GREAT deal to me. I want all types of animation to continue on forever, bringing us wonderful stories and unique characters in their own ways. The old-fashioned, traditional, nostalgic and retro can exist alongside and intertwined with the modern, contemporary, futuristic and cutting-edge; I'm convinced of it, because both sorts have given me so very much to love. I'm willing and eager to embrace Disney/Pixar princesses right alongside Disney princesses.
