I personally feel like he gets too much love. He doesn't even do the heroics in the movie; the FAIRIES do everything! All Phillip does is look heroic. The fairies gave Phillip the sword and made the magic to kill the dragon.

Just think of all the things he's been through: Attacked by Maleficent's troll-pig things (I don't know WHAT the heck those are), locked in a dungeon, made fun of, having to jump over cliffs, dodge boulders, arrows, and boiling oil, having to cut through deadly thorns, having to fight a giant fire-breathing dragon intent upon killing him, fighting it on a very high cliff surrounded by FIRE, etc. The others just had it easier, in my opinion.

Well, you're only half right there. If somebody or something is underrated, it means that people underestimate their value and importance. The first three princes are very important to their stories, but if they don't get a lot of love, and if people say things like, "he doesn't do anything" or "he only appears in the end" and don't look at the great/most important things, then YES, that does cause them to become underrated.
