I don't think any of the renaissance or classic girls really change other than Mulan. And I think being dynamic and being able to be altered by your environment is a defining feature of being complex.

I do think that the more recent ones are complex, but complexity doesn't really mean character development.

I do consider the Moderns complex, but only two of them really have character development over the course of the movie: Merida and Rapunzel. The other three all remain the same. The complexity is there, but the development isn't quite as present.

I find them just as complex as most of the Renaissance princesses, but not the classics. In my opinion, the classics have no character development, or complex personalities.

THIS. Changing has nothing to do with being a complex or deep character, or even a layered one. Personally I think only Merida has true development that actually feels, well, developed. Elsa's is rushed, Rapunzel is basically the same from start to finish and Tiana never really change, she just learned a lesson.

I consider Cinderella complex because of her realism. We don't fully get her personality- why doesn't she scream her head off when the Duke is about to leave, for instance? Is she just pitying herself and her bad situation at the moment THAT much? She's also very realistic with her flaws and good traits, not cartoony at all. Unlike with Snow, you can see Cinderella has a lot of resentfulness towards Tremaine and her oppression and rebels when she can.

I'd say Jasmine is complex for the exact same reason. People really do confuse "development" (or so the movie tells you it is) and screen time with being a complex character.

I think that a lot of the older princesses are more complex then Anna or Merdia, whose personality I can summon up with one word. Not that complexity necessarily makes a good character. Belle for example isn't particular complex, but she is nevertheless a great character. But if I had to pick the most complex princesses, it would Cinderella, Mulan and Rapunzel...incidentally one of every era, but those are the ones I can't summon up in a few sentences.

And to explain Cinderella: She has a good heart and is gentle, but she can also get angry and really fly off the handle. She is hard-working, but she doesn't necessarily enjoy the hard work. She would rather sleep in, but she is too responsible to do so. She can be very stoic, but she does have a breaking point. And that's only the start of me trying to describe Cinderella. She is a wonderful character.

Complexity has nothing to do with character development. Character development is how a character grows and changes throughout their story. Complexity means that something, or in this case, someone, is hard to understand. As far as I'm concerned, none of the Disney Princesses are hard to understand, even though people do look at them in different perspectives. Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida are among some of the most well-developed Disney Princesses but they're not complex, none of the princesses are. Besides, Elsa and Anna don't have character development AT ALL! Elsa's personality isn't even well-developed, even though she does have one. When I think of complex female characters I think of characters like Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Helga (Hey Arnold), Regina, Emma (both from Once Upon A Time), etc. I don't think of any of the Disney Princesses when it comes to characters that are complex.

For the life of me, I don't understand what you are asking. Do you want a complexity or character development, because they are both completely different things.
I can tell you that I, personally, do not want obviously complex characters because they are usually annoying when you actually come across them in stand-alone movies. With complex characters the reason why they are complex is because their motivations are harder to understand/ascertain than other characters. In that case, then none of the DP's are complex characters.
Character development is a completely different animal and is generally harder to execute. Just look at Frozen, for example.
