Ever since Delena प्रशंसकों have been around, we have been waiting for a 'I प्यार you' या a "I like you'. Since we have already gotten the सेकंड one we are very anxiously awaiting for the first one. It seems very apparent that Elena loves Damon, even quite obvious. At this point in the season she if looking ultra obvious about her feelings for Damon.
Damon seems to be noticing this in her as well, and it seems he is waiting for her to say it to him but even though now wouldn't be the best time to say it, and that is true. Though they may प्यार each other now would be a horrible time to say it. They are working together so well that if Elena suddenly tells him she loves him, this will all fall apart. They will become so involved in each other, and yes, sure that would be awesome but at the right time, when Elena doesn't have to worry about Stefan all the time. When all her time and thoughts are pointed at Damon.
Also, what kind of a person would that make Elena? Her friend (I am no longer called Stefan her boyfriend because he clearly isn't) is in horrible trouble and needs help and Elena needs to focus on getting him back. When Stefan does come back obviously things between her and Stefan are not going to work. The way he treated her even before he had been compelled, yeah sure he had protected her but its going to take Elena a lot of time to even begin to trust Stefan again. And meanwhile, she has begun trusting Damon like no one else she has ever trusted. So we must just be patient.
