"thats true.." Lucy mused
"but think about it, you know the saying 'with great power comes great responsibility' It makes sense that, you'll have burdens and problems." Kat remarked "But i'd be willing to deal with that..as long as i could protect the people i love."
Stacy giggled lightly "sounds like you've been thinking about this."

Liam: Yeah, for real...

Kat blushed lightly "sorry if that's kinda weird..i've kinda thought about that alot since i was really little"

Liam: I guess I can't blame you.... Having the power to protect those you hold dear and love..... I'd say if the burdens have to come with it, then I'll go with it... The burden is only another step in the process....

*They then followed them inside*

Their group was seated and each person obtained a menu.
'I'm starving" Kat groaned
"Did you skip breakfast? " Stacy teased

Liam: You fasting or something?
Bryce: I'll have you know, intermittent fasting is an alright lifestyle.
Liam: Or you could just lower your junk food intake.....

The girls burst into giggles
"actually all i had was a piece of toast..otherwise i would have been late again.." Kat smiled lightly

"what Lucy meant was, you guys were supposed to hang out, but we all ended up going together." Kat clarified

Kat gasped and squealed in delight, startling Lucy and Stacy "i think i got it too!!" She exclaimed happily.
Stacy couldnt help but shake her head with a smile while Lucy pouted

Liam: *He only nodded with a smile looking at Kat* Alright, time to see what we'll order...
Bryce: Changing the subject as usual..... Alright....... Let's see...

Kat stuck her tounge out at Liam when he wasn't looking and then looked at the menu, she decided what she wanted then started chatting witth Lucy and Stacy, both of whom had decided as well. Suddenly a small TV in the corner of the room had the volume raised, and the reporter spoke.

"this morning someone calling themselves, Racket Queen attacked many people and caused damages to Paris, and two very special people appeared, they called themselves Dark Pheonix and Loup Blanc, and with their efforts Racket Queen was defeated and Paris was saved, all damages Miraculously fixed themselves....Who is this super hero duo? and are they really friends? or foes hiding until the time is right."

Liam: They've already hit the news huh..... Paris has been becoming quite a bit more lively,,,, I don't regret moving here.....

"did they really have to add the 'friend or foe' shtick?" Lucy asked, watching the screen
"i guess so?" Kat shrugged

Liam: Likely a press stunt.... Of course, they have to question the heroes alignment to get good views and readers.... Clickbait titles.... It's like Spider-man.... Friend or Menace, but we all knew what he was.... It's the same with these guys... They saved us from Racket Queen, and they still have the nerve to ask friend or foe....
Bryce: It's upsetting honestly.... If they save you, you should be thanking them, not questioning if they're friend or foe....

"yea well..as long as they help us..i don't care" Lucy sighed
"it's cool though, Paris has their own super hero duo" Stacy smiled lightly

Bryce: I know right.... But, I've got a good feeling about those 2... But enough about them... I'm getting the Steaks au Poivre....
Liam: And I'll get the Croque Madame..... Seems really good too....

"i'll take a Coq au Vin" Lucy mused to herself
"the Grilled Ratatouille Salad sounds good" Stacy added
"i'll get a Beef bourguignon" KAt grinned

Liam: Alright,
*A waiter came over, and took their orders and headed back*
Bryce: Alright!! Our orders have been made.... This is gonna be interesting! Oh! I call swapping dishes with Lucy!
Liam: Really? Well, I'll swap with Kat, wait a minute... It's a slight bit uneven....
Bryce: Hey Stace, who will you swap with then?

Stacy giggled "maybe i'll swap with Kat too."
Kat groaned "you know i hate salads Stace"
Lucy butted in then "actually, we could invite a friend of mine, he just texted me asking to hang out"

Liam: Invite him, it'll even us out...
Bryce: Yeah, it'll work....
Liam: The only problem, the waiter already took our orders....

"we can call her back over" Kat remarked as Lucy quickly typed on her phone.
"he's nearby. he'll be here in a minute." Lucy added after a moment

Bryce: Alright, one more pal to even out our crowd. Very nice.

not even two minutes later a boy walked in, he was tall, and lean. his hair, a dark brown color, hung in his pale blue eyes. he wore a long sleeve black sweater, ripped blue jeans and white sneakers.

"over here Zander" Lucy waved him over.
"hey, hope i'm not interrupting." Zander mused, looking at the small group

Bryce: No way you're interrupting, come on.

"guys this is my friend Zander. Zander, this is Bryce, Liam, and Stacy." Lucy remarked "and you've already met Kat."
"hi" Kat waved, as Zander pulled up a chair and sat down.

Bryce: Zander..... I feel like I've heard your name around the school before..... But I can't remember why... Didn't you get some sort of achievement award last year or something?

Zander grinned "I happen to be one of the best on the fencing team."
"yea yea keep bragging." Lucy sighed as Kat waved over the waitress.

Bryce: That was it! You carried out school's fencing team to the championships and won!
Liam: Ever since you became captain, our team has had a higher win rate.... You're doing your job as captain, I'll give you that..

Zander grinned again "i'm trying, honestly most people didn't have faith in me seeing how i'm one of the youngest captians"

Liam: That's how it goes... If you're young, they don't hold a lot of faith in you...

Zander order a Flamiche from the waitress then looked at Liam "you got that right, even with all my achievements they still think i'm going to fail."

Liam: That's always been the problem.... But, at least you're probing them wrong and that's for sure..

Zander shrugged "yea, but i still want to do better."
"that's a good plan." Kat mused mostly to herself.

"so what do you think of those new super heros Zander?" Lucy asked curiously
Zander sighed "some kind of magical weirdos who save the world? it's the same as any Super hero movie or Tv show."

Liam: [He's not wrong there..] Yeah, evil came in and all of a sudden the super heroes are here to save the day.
