She could feel it creeping up her ankle and legs. It was hardening, making it impossible for her to move. A laugh sounded as it went higher.
“Sorry Devin but things must be done. आप must be taken out of the picture.”
“What did I do, Amber?!”
“You betrayed me! आप left Sensai, आप चुरा लिया BACK your Angel's light, and आप risked everything for one human! That betrayal will never be forgiven!”

“You think apologizing will help?! No! It's time आप payed the price!”
“What do आप plan to do when I'm gone?”
“Infiltrate. Sensai taught us that. So I'll play pretend.”
“They'll never believe you! They know आप Amber!”
The crystal was up to her neck now.
“Oh I know. That's why I'll look like you.”
“No!”
“Oh yes. I told आप everything was mine and would be!”
Amber touched the stolen हार on her neck.
“Goodbye Devin.”

“No!”
Devin sat up, panting. She looked around and took a deep breath. She was safe. It took a few मिनटों to regain her composure.
