Chapter Two-

Alexa slipped through the दीवार into the tiny jail cell. Making sure no guards were around, she tapped Joker on the shoulder.

"Alexa my darling!" Joker said.

"Shh!" Alexa said. "I've come to get आप out."

"Oh, but they were already doing that." Joker said, indicating the group द्वारा the door.

"And who would this be?" a voice with a thick Russian accent asked from the dark.

"The darling I was talking to आप about earlier." Joker replied, cackling.

"Count Vertigo." Alexa said, bowing as the figure stepped forth from the shadows.

"It is nice to be addressed correctly for once. आप may rise." Vertigo said.

"So what brings my attacker here to rescue me?" Joker asked Alexa as she undid his handcuffs.

"I decided to take आप up on your offer." Alexa said.

"What offer?" Vertigo asked.

"I offered her some चाय and crumpets." Joker said, rubbing his wrists as the handcuffs dropped to the floor with a loud clang.

"As I remember, it was सूप and warm clothes." Alexa said, grinning. "But I think आप get the drift."

"Ooh! I like her!" Joker कहा as Atomic Skull pulled the door off. "She's hot. In और ways than one!"

Alexa grinned.

"Shall we go?" she asked.

"After आप my dear." Joker said, humbly दिखा रहा है her the door.

Alexa grinned and walked out. Atomic Skull melted the अगला door to find several squads of police officers waiting along with a certain bird in a mask and cape.

"Alexa?" he asked.

"Relax, I've got this." Alexa said. She raised her hands and a wave of blue energy shot forth from them. Everyone writhed in pain and dropped to the ground. Alexa grinned and walked to the twitching body of Robin.

"Sorry Boy Wonder." she said, kicking him over. "You aren't my type."

"Loving her और and more!" Joker कहा as the group proceeded.

The two teenagers packed their bags and checked out of the hotel before heading out into the damp, gloomy morning.

Artemis could tell Wally was determined, he hadn't eaten yet. The two marched down to the train station where they caught a train heading toward Venice.

About an घंटा into the trip, the two teens' tensions were running high.

"This is going to take forever!" Wally complained.

Artemis's communicator buzzed. What was बैटमैन calling this early in the morning for? She picked it up and, making sure Wally was asleep, slipped out onto the roof.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Artemis," Batman's voice had a melancholy tone to it, and Artemis knew it was bad. "Your mother was abducted द्वारा Cheshire and the League of Shadows."

Artemis just stared at the screen for a moment. She started to cry.

Artemis must have fallen asleep at some point before the movie ended, because just as the sky was growing dark Wally suddenly felt a weight on his arm. He managed to look अगला to him and saw that Artemis had fallen asleep on his shoulder. His first instinct was to shake her awake, but he was stopped द्वारा how relaxed she looked.
