“Team, I'd like आप to meet your newest member. Jade Smith. Also called Exaliber to the newspapers.”
Batman's announcement was a surprise to the team. After what happened last time, they didn't think there would be another member. And another shock came when a girl with long brown hair stepped through the door. Her outfit was similar to that of the Green Lantern's. But her's was with a white skirt. A हार like that of the one Isis owned was around her neck, a green mask of her eyes.
“Hello,” she said.
The guys looked uneasy. Artemis and Megan shared a look, a little worried. Becca laughed and ran into her friend's arms.
“Jade! I can't believe you're here!”
Jade laughed, swinging her friend around as the two hugged.
“I'm happy to see आप too Becca! And I'm still overwhelmed at being here!”
Becca smiled brightly as she was set back on her feet. She gave her friend another hug before turning to Batman.
“You have no idea how much I respect आप right now!”
Jade couldn't help the giggle that came from her and hid it behind her hand. बैटमैन simply nodded at Becca before turning to the others.
“We've done a full background check so आप have no reason to worry. She is, in a sense of the word, Green Lantern's niece.”
“What's with all of the girls being nieces?” Wally muttered.
“Jade isn't really his niece,” Becca replied. “She's part of the Green Lantern Corps. That's an intergalactic अंतरिक्ष patrol that protects the universe from any kind of threat. Jade has lived many places since she was five, learning almost every type of alien language. She does have a ring that enables her to do almost anything. She also has other powers that are rooted from her mom's side and could be a potential threat if Jade gets put in wrong hands.”
Becca smiled, proud she had silenced her teammates.
“I...didn't understand half of what आप said,” Wally admitted.
“Sorry.”
Becca jumped, back flipping over a rafter before landing again. A familiar crash sounded.
“OW!”
The Flash appeared अगला to Becca.
“I see our game continues. See आप later bird girl. I gotta go.”
Flash took off and Becca giggled. She turned to Jade.
“Come meet the others.”
Becca dragged her friend over to the rest of the team and made the introductions.
“Young Justice, meet Jade. Jade, meet Young Justice. Artemis, Megan, Wally, Kaldur, Connor, and Robin. All your new friends.”
“Pleasure,” Jade said.
“She isn't use to Earth,” Becca explained.
“Don't worry Jade!” Megan कहा happily. “I'll help you!”
“Thank you, M'gann. आप are very kind.”
Megan smiled brightly, her cheeks turning a little pink.
“C'mon Jade. आप and I have some things to talk about.”
With one तत्पर, तेज, स्विफ्ट pull, Becca had her friend out the door and headed to her room. She closed the door once they entered and turned to Jade.
“Something's happening, huh?” Becca asked.
Jade shifted uncomfortably. She gave a small nod.
“Is it who I think it is?”
Another nod and Becca froze for a minute. She started pacing around before speaking.
“Patch me through.”
Jade ignited her powers, a misty वृत्त appearing. A सेकंड later, a shadowed figure appeared, easily determined as male. And a covered voice spoke, deep and melodious.
“Becca. I was expecting you.”
“Whatever X. What's the first move? And be honest.”
“Take them down of course. Why would आप think otherwise?”
“You're a sly devil. That's why.”
“Becca honey. Relax. I've got everything under control. No need to panic.”
Becca glared at the figure, her eyes penetrating through the screen.
“I'll meet आप under the moonlight tomorrow night. Okay, darling?”
“Fine. But if you're not there-”
“Becca. I'll be there. If you're there, I'll be there.”
