This is for those who have just begun writing, या for those who need helpful advice. I hope this लेख helps you.

1) Spelling and Grammar

Spelling and grammar is the first thing आप worry about. If there are many spelling/grammatical errors, the story doesn't flow very well. आप don't have to be an expert, but आप at least should have a dictionary nearby and know the basic rules of grammar. You'll pick up on और the और आप write.

2) Know Your Topic

First and foremost, after spelling and grammar, आप must know what you're लेखन about. And I don't just mean a topic in general. For example, if आप want to write about someone flying a plane, but don't know anything about how to fly one, do some research. But I also mean, know the general idea of what your story is going to be about. If आप don't have the entire plot in your head, you're most likely going to encounter writer's block quite a bit. I'm not saying आप need to know the summary of each chapter, I'm talking about the summary of your entire piece. It doesn't need to be specific, just the main idea.

3) Don't Stop Writing

Imagine yourself pushing a very heavy object across the floor (without wheel assistance). Once आप can get going, it's not too hard. But if आप stop and try to start again, it's extremely difficult. It's the same thing with writing. Once आप start, do your best not to stop. Once आप have a good bit of material, then go back and reread what आप have written and make any necessary changes, deletions, and additions आप wish to make.

4) Once You've Completed A Chapter and/or Your One Shot

When आप complete a chapter, या your story if it's only one chapter, reread it thoroughly. In fact, reread it a couple of times. Read it outloud to yourself. Check and be sure आप don't have any spelling/grammatical errors, be sure आप don't want to add/delete anything, and be sure it flows well and everything makes sense. The reason for पढ़ना outloud is because this is your story. आप know what it's supposed to say, and when आप read inside your head, your mind will read it as what it's supposed to be. पढ़ना aloud, your mind tends to pay और attention to each word individually, so checking for errors is much simpler. (I learned this the hard way.)

5) Write About What आप Like

I'm sure I don't need to include this, but I will anyway. If आप don't write about what आप like, your story probably won't turn out very good because you're not passionate about the topic. This is also including genre. If आप don't like romance, then लेखन about it is probably not a good idea.

6) NEVER Ask For सलाह Before You've Written

Most people are afraid to write something and have people not like it, so they ask others what they think would happen या how they would word something. STOP! Write it first, then ask others what they think. Know where आप are going wrong and what आप need to work on. However, be sure you're not letting other opinions get to आप too much. If someone says that your लेखन sucks, don't let that stop you. लेखन good material takes a lot of time. And never let anyone suggest that something should happen instead of what you've written. If आप allow this, then it's not your story! Trust me, I never asked for सलाह before I wrote something, and I'm a better writer for it. आप will be, too.

7) Be Proud of Your Work!

I absolutely hate it when people say they don't write because they're no good at it. I hate it even और when someone says that they used to write, but gave up because no one liked their stories. Maybe your story isn't all that great. So what? Like I कहा before, good लेखन takes time. My very first fanfiction that I wrote...Good grief, I couldn't believe that there was a time I thought that was good. But looking at my most हाल का fanfiction, I think it's pretty good, in my opinion. Never let anyone stop आप from लेखन if that's what आप like to do. The और आप write, the better you'll become at it. Learn from why your stories aren't as good as आप want them to be, and make yourself a better writer द्वारा learning from them.

8) Writer's Block

The worst thing a writer can encounter is writer's block. If आप ever find yourself staring at your piece of paper या computer screen with absolutely no idea how to continue, put it to the side and go do something to keep your mind off of it for a while. Normally, when आप return with a fresh mind, ideas will come और easily. If that doesn't work, try to do things that bring आप inspiration. Read something relating to your topic, या whatever else आप do to gain your inspiration. And like I कहा before, don't ask anyone what they think would happen. This is your writing, so it needs to come from your noggin. आप can't be proud of your work if your ideas came from someone else.

9) Novel Format vs. Script Format

A lot of people find script format easier to write than novel format. It's less to write, right? Well, that's the problem. When आप write less, it doesn't put a picture in your reader's mind. I wrote my first fanfiction in script format. In fact, I wrote my first two and a half fanfictions in script. All it told was what my characters कहा and weak descriptions of their actions. In novel format, आप can give so much और life to your story. For example, instead of:

Jim: [leaps down stairs in a panic] "Mom?! Are आप okay?!" [reaches bottom of stairs and looks around frantically]

turn it into this:

Jim took off toward the stairs, almost tripping on the first one. Taking them द्वारा two's, he nearly tripped over his own feet as he frantically called for his mother.

"Mom?! Are आप okay?!" he called. His दिल pounded with worry, and upon throwing himself past the bottom step, he frantically turned back and forth in खोजिए of his mother.

I know it's not a very good example, but I think आप understand what I'm getting at. Though, if you're a beginner, आप might consider लेखन your story first in script, then converting it to novel format. It might be an easy start for आप until आप get used to jumping write into the novel format.

10) Creating the Image

Most of आप have probably heard of the phrase "show not tell" in school. That's much और significant in writing. Don't just say, "He was very nervous about the exam." Say instead, something along the lines of, "His exam was in an hour. He fidgeted with his fingers and found his दिल accelerating with each सेकंड that brought him closer to what could be the beginning of his life, या the end of it." Again, not a very good example, but my point should still be clear. This is especially important in लेखन because if आप don't create a clear image, the लेखन becomes boring for lack of flow. However, don't use overly descriptive terms that will only confuse your readers. Use terms that you'd probably use with a teenager. That way, most everybody will know what your talking about and your flow of लेखन will remain constant and unbroken. One thing that helps me in creating an image is stopping what I'm लेखन for a moment, closing my eyes, and imagining the scene in my mind. It helps आप understand what part of the scene is causing the suspense, and which parts of the scene आप need to focus on.

11) Know Your Audience

Which age group are आप लेखन for? A toddler? A teenager? An adult? A senior citizen? आप want to use an appropriate language, plot, and genre for your audience. लेखन using grown up terms, but with a storyline that adults wouldn't want to read would be pointless. I'm sure an adult wouldn't want to read a story about a talking तितली and his friend, the bumblebee, but a young child might. So, know who आप want to write for.

12) Combine Sentences, Don't Repeat

I've mentioned several times about your flow of writing. This can take the topic in several different directions. I've already covered the issue of knowing your audience, your spelling and grammar, and imagery. But there's one और area in which flow is important. Repetition. That's another one of the worst things that a writer can do. For example, if you're explaining what someone is doing, one thing that drives many reader's insane is something like this: Jim ran out of his room and went to the stairs. Jim darted down the stairs, taking them द्वारा two's. When Jim reached the bottom of the stairs, he frantically looked around for his mother. Notice how I use Jim's name in every single sentence as I described his actions. The reader already knows you're talking about Jim, so using his name over and over is unnecessary. Instead, using what I wrote under the Novel Format vs. Script Format tab would be much better. That's another reason why rereading may be important; आप can be sure that none of your लेखन is repetitious.

13) Don't Give Too Much Visual Right Away

So, you're sending your character into a new setting. या maybe your introducing a character. When आप bring him/her into your writing, don't take too much time explaining what the room looks like that they're in, या what they look like, या who they are. Especially if the setting/character isn't something you're going to mention too often in your story. Bring details in gradually, if important. Instead of saying, "She wore red-rimmed glasses," say, "She looked down at the boy through her red-rimmed glasses."

14) The Ending

The hardest parts to write in a story are the beginning and the end. The weirdest to write, however, is the ending. It's kind of like when your प्रिय दिखाना या book series ends. It's just...Over. When लेखन the end, consider the main character's goal throughout the story. Consider the message आप were trying to portray through the reader. Don't just tell the reader that the character has reached his/her goal या not, end it with a message that will stick in the readers' mind. If आप just end the story without some kind of message, whether it be a message connecting to the world या to the character him/herself, then the story is just forgotten. Though, I'm talking the ending to your entire piece, here. If you're लेखन in series, end with cliffhangers until आप reach the ending.

15) पढ़ना Helps

There are two parts to this tip. One is this: Read other published novels that interest you. Get to know what is good about the novel and what isn't. Know how novel format is written and structured. Read some reviews on the novel to get other opinions on the plot and structure. Take all of this into account in your writing. Just be sure not to copy someone else's work, and don't just write your story because आप think it's what other people will like. Be sure what you're लेखन is something आप would read if आप weren't the author.

The सेकंड part to this is पढ़ना things that aren't professionally published. Think about your प्रिय shows/books/movies and read some fanfictions on them. But don't just read them, think about what आप would've done better if आप would've written it. Pay attention to what आप like and dislike about them, too. Both of these will help आप pay attention to how आप write your stories to differentiate it from other writings.

16) Stay On Topic/Make Sense

Be sure that आप don't make random, irrelevant टिप्पणियाँ in your story. This also takes away from the flow of लेखन and makes it very confusing. Make absolutely certain that your लेखन makes sense. And if you're comparing something in your writing, make sure the comparison is clear. If you're somehow comparing a car and a bird, be sure आप explain why, otherwise, your readers will become confused.

17) Reviewers

If आप write something, and plan on asking someone to review it, don't get a friend to review it. I mean, if आप want your friends' opinion, go ahead. But to get a और honest, unbiased, review, get someone who आप don't know very well to do it. Preferably, someone who has at least some experience in writing. And whether they say it's good या not, take their review to heart. Just don't let it get आप down if it's not the review आप hoped for. Reviews will improve as your लेखन does.

However, I strongly suggest doing what I do. If someone is rude in their review (i.e. "You're लेखन sucks! Get a life!", "This is the worst thing I've ever read," "Jeez, आप think this is good!?"), ignore the review completely. If someone feels that strongly about not liking your writing, then they shouldn't even read it in the first place. Taking those kind of reviews into account will only add stress to your लेखन process and lower your self-esteem and confidence. Only endure positive, polite constructive criticism.

18) Never Give Up

If आप take anything from these tips, take this most to heart. Don't worry about who likes and dislikes your stories. Not every single one of your readers is going to like your stories. If it's because it doesn't flow, learn what you're doing wrong and fix your mistakes. If it's because they don't like the plot, just ignore it, because that's a matter of opinion. Don't let bad reviews stop आप from doing what आप love. Giving up is the same as not caring. If आप really don't care about writing, then please, give up, because आप obviously aren't passionate about what you're doing. But if आप do प्यार doing it, and it is something आप care about, let nothing stand in your way. Even the most famous writers had to start somewhere, and there's always और to learn.

If आप have any questions, या can think of any other tips, please share them with me. I've been लेखन for about a साल now, but I'm still learning. Anyone who writes always learns something different.
Prologue:
One moment can change a lifetime. No matter how insignificant something may seem, every action has a consequence. Most people never take this into account. But when you’ve had a life like Victoria Vevina Byrne’s, आप plan every सेकंड of every दिन for your entire life…

“Father?!” Technicolor laser beams lit up the sky, and technological sirens rang through the air as I ran through the thick Nazaki Forest, searching for my father. Tears cascaded down my blood-covered cheeks. He was nowhere to be found. At his moment of terror and fear, I gave up. While...

She was perfect. Like beautiy incarnated. Long, flowing, red hair, shining like the stars. Cole black eyes outlined द्वारा freckles that were sprinkled over her nose and corners of her eyes.
Seeing her again hurt. Hurt और then when I broke my arm in fourth grade, और then when my older brother hit me above the eyebrow and busted my skin open and needed stiches.
Her with him was a dager through my heart. She was suppose to be mine...forever.
Thats when she looked at me. Her plump गुलाबी lips twiched the slightest. Then shock overtook her features as she reconized the 19- year-old boy she use to love. But that's just it. She USE to प्यार me, but I still loved her. Not even the Marines could stop that, not the 4 years I've spent away changed that. She was still my life.
He was hers.

I just never cared anymore. Not about anything. For some reason, I just let everything alone. Nothing mattered to me anymore. Nothing. The things that had made me happy previously had now just made me even more…dull. Maybe all the things he did to me made me like this. Trevor never really was good to anyone, not even any girlfriends he had. He never showed me that he cared, he was always cold, and he always… hurt me.
Or maybe my mother’s drinking habits. She was always at the bar, and when she wasn’t, she had a different bottle in her hand every मिनट या so. I was surprised she hadn’t...

I believe I can fly

Take to the sky

Be all that I’m going to be

See all that I’m going to see

आप can’t hold me back

With me, there’s nothing to lack

So take a seat

Don’t miss a beat

And watch us fly

Right on by

In a jet या a plane

There’s no way that we’re sane

So sit on back

Try not to hack

Enjoy the view

Don’t miss your Que

To start on flying

Without dying

‘Cause we believe we can fly

As we take to the sky

I wish I had a best friend, her face was as sweet as honey, mixed with molasses and cane sugar, and vanilla extract with almonds sprinkled on top.

Her voice was like roses, blooming out of a fresh garden, and for each word, one flower, at least that’s how I pictured it. And just as the sweet smell of the फूल draw the bees nearer, so they could suck the nectar, so her voice drew me nearer with her fragrant words and perfect English, and mellow sound…yes…mellow. Nearer to her tongue, so I could suck the sweet nectar off that as well.

Her hair was like golden sunlight, reflecting off the...

If you're wondering, "Diem Mirabilis" is Latin for "Day of Wonders". (At least it's SUPPOSED to be. My Latin isn't what it used to be, hehe.) This was just a little something I whipped up for a story I'm writing. I wanted to put something at the beginning of each chapter that roughly follows the times of day, and I couldn't find anything good. So I made my own. =) Hope आप enjoy it!

Diem Mirabilis

Morning:

for Morning is made
of mysteries and uncertainties
the hopes of beginnings
the risks of unknowns
the potential for greatness
या failure

Midday:

for Midday is the height
of the glory of the sun
the climax of twenty-four hours
the brightness that blinds and clarifies
the जवाब once hidden
now unveiled

Sunset:

for Sunset arrives
with the final shift of the sky
the afterglow of the triumph
the sweetness of the last drop
the closing chapter of a story
and the beginning...

of a new one.

Thank you

The Wind is cold against her skin
Numbing her body perfectly,
Erasing the pain she knew all to well
Escaping her problems if only for a moment
The chill of the breeze whispering to her
"Just do it" it taunted, "You know आप want to"
Each time, the voice got louder
Beckoning her to let go, end it all
Was it worth it
Some would say no
But to her it was everything
Yet the voices called to her
"Let go, Let got, ... Let Go"

I grabbed her द्वारा her night कमीज, शर्ट and threw her onto the सोफ़ा, सोफे with a loud thud. She fell of and hit the cold wooden floor. Example of the 'Dark Figure'
Example of the 'Dark Figure'
Somewhere in ancient Japan...
A dark figure emerges from the shadows cloaked only in darkness, his weapon exposed, the blood of his victims dripping from it's blade. A creak in the floor alerts him of और to come, he waits in the dark for his prey to come. They slide open the door only to be slaughtered. As he slays them he notices a girl out of the corner of his eye, standing there in absolute horror. He raised his blade ready to attack, but for some reason he held back. Him, a demon of the night, him, whose hands had been stained with the blood of many women and children, could not murder...

“When?” He laughed even harder, the crowd’s voice growing louder द्वारा the second, and anger filling her face to hide the shy blush that actually sat atop of everything. She rolled here eyes at him and put one of her hands on her hips, her hips cocking to the left and seeming lazy. She then got...

I've been slowly but steadily coming to the conclusion that कविता as an art form is quickly losing its flavor amongst the iPod generation. And I'm not talking about contemporary poets who don't get read द्वारा the masses, because as Gertrude Stein would say, "Those who are creating the modern composition authentically are naturally only of importance when they are dead because द्वारा that time the modern composition having become past is classified and the विवरण of it is classical. That is the reason why the creator of the new composition in the arts is an outlaw until he is a classic." Or,...

What is love?

Oi there mates… Let me tell आप few things here. I actually asked myself that सवाल long ago. Why? Well, maybe because I had no फ्रेंड्स या other people who would accept me when I was a kid.
