A महीना AGO......
“There आप are monkey.” Jacobs black eyes peer at mine as he opens my closet door wider. “What are आप doing in here?” I look up at him under my lashes and grin.
“Playing Hide and Go Seek?” I giggle.
Unfolded clothes surround me on the floor. Clothes that I had forgotten about, and that Mom was urging me to fold. Jacob bent down, grabbed me around the waist, and pulled me out of the pile and into his arms as if I weighed nothing.
“I could have joined you, आप know.” He hugged me tightly against his hard chest. I could smell pine and dirt on him. He must have come from the woods.
“Yeah, I know.” I breathed into his hair. He laughed and turned his head away from my shoulder to my cheek. He kissed it softly.
“Who were आप playing with anyway?” I look away to my purple wall. I shouldn’t tell him. I should, there’s nothing to be afraid of. But what if Jacob got jealous? I’ve never seen him like that before? What if he लॉस्ट control?
Clam down, I tell myself, he’ll never know.
“Nobody important.” I say quietly landing on my feet as Jacob lets me go. His face looks worried for a मिनट but then snaps right back into the grin that I have grown to love.
“So, I was wondering if you’d want to come with me hunting? I know आप enjoy it very much, and I thought it sounded like a better तारीख, दिनांक than going to a movie या something.” His eyes quickly snap towards the door as I hear a crash downstairs. Damn.
“What was that?” Jacobs eyes turn into protective mode as he slithers down the stairs into the kitchen.
Andreois stands there, a broken अचार jar on the ground. “Hey Nessie.” He says as he notices us walk into the room. His eyes shift to Jacob, taking in his large body.
“Hello?” Andreois says unsure. Jacob says nothing.
He stands still like a statue. Looking at Andreois up and down, trying to conclude if Andreois is a threat या not. He takes in his dark brown hair and red eyes. His pale skin and tall, strong body.
Normally I would tell Jacob if someone was a threat या not, but right at this moment, I felt that telling Jacob that he was only visiting, that he was the child of a friend of Carlisle’s, that he had not tried to किस me, was the wrong answer. I had no feelings towards Andreois, none at all. But I knew that he cared for me. Imprinting conquered all. I could प्यार no one else as much as I loved Jacob. But still, there was something sweet about the way Andreois got my vampire needs. There was something good about the way his cold bodies temperature didn’t affect mine.
“Who are you? And what are आप doing here?” Jacob quickly settled himself right in front of me protectively.
Andreois eyes shifted towards mine for an instant, he nods.
“I’m Andreois,”. He quickly bent down to pick up the glass that now was all over the floor.
“Im visiting. My father, Ryann, wanted to travel the world. We just stopped on our way towards Russia. He कहा he had a friend in Washington, that we should stop and say hi.”
Jacobs eyes furiously turned back to me. They softened as he takes in my frown.
“Why didn’t आप tell me?” I step away from behind Jacob and reach for his hand.
“Tell आप what?” My eyes shift quickly towards Andreois. He is frozen, bent towards the ground, preparing for what’s next. Jacob removes his hand from mine and walks a step towards Andreois.
“That he kissed you? That he wants you?” Jacob growls the last part, then shifts right in the kitchen.
