‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 7: Steroline Make Out (We Think) In Bloody First Trailer

You’re right Caroline, it looks like the Salvatores may have made a huge mistake. In the brand new season seven trailer for ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ the heretics are officially taking over Mystic Falls — and no one knows how to stop them.

“We don’t mess with them, they don’t mess with us,” Stefan (Paul Wesley) tells Damon (Ian Somerhalder), informing him of what the deal is with his mother, Lily (Annie Wersching), who just so happens to be taking over the whole city with her witch-vampire-ish Heretics. And after we saw what a disaster Mystic Falls became in the last few minutes flash-forward we got in the season six finale, we know things are not going so well. Luckily, we can still look forward to some Steroline romance, right? Watch the first season seven trailer for 

Alright, so this looks really dangerous. We get our first look at some of the insane, crazy Heretics who are taking over, and of course, the return of some of our favorites. Bonnie is working with Alaric (who we’re hoping gets luckier this season), Kai is probably still stirring up trouble, and well Caroline, it looks like, is getting tortured. The trailer was exclusively released on E!

And then, around :38, we get a glimpse of Stefan making out with a blonde, who is also wearing a sunlight ring, and it looks 

like Caroline from the back, so that’s what were going for. We know that Caroline’s whole I-need-to-be-alone thing won’t last for long.

“Because there’s constantly life and death stakes thrown at them, they’re thrust together in a storyline,” EP Caroline Dries told TVGuide. “So as much as much as there’s chaos around her, every time she looks at Stefan, she gets butterflies.” She added that there may be “massacres here [and] bombs there,” but “it’s only a matter of time before it’s like… ‘You make me happy.’ So, we’ll see them get together soon.”
