Two-month-old A'Shia Jenkins was last seen on February 11, 2003 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Her father, Kenneth Jenkins Jr. claimed that he, A'Shia and A'Shia's twin sister got inside of an unlicensed taxicab and in the middle of the ride, the driver threatened him with a gun.Kenneth was able to get himself and A'Shia's sister out of the car, but it drove off with A'Shia still inside of it.

An Amber Alert was issued, but it was cancelled after two days due to inconsistencies with Kenneth's story. The next day, Kenneth was charged with murdering A'Shia.

Kenneth confessed to accidentally smothering her in his home to stop her from crying. He said that he panicked because he had a outstanding warrant for a probation violation and was afraid that he would be arrested if he went to the police, so he disposed of A'Shia's body in a dumpster and reported that she was abducted.

Although he initially pled guilty to charges of first degree murder, child abuse and making false statements to the police, Kenneth entered an Alford plea to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter.

A'Shia's case still remains classified as an endangered missing person.
