This is a transcription of the acceptance speech that would have been दिया द्वारा Chel1395 at the Fanpoppy Awards Ceremony, February 23, 2008. Unfortunately, the ceremony was disrupted द्वारा a surprise Smurf blitz attack and Chel was knocked unconscious during the ensuing chaos. She is still in the hospital recovering. Donations towards her hospital bill are welcome.

I was told that I should have some words written down, just in case I won the Fanpoppy Lifetime Achievement Award. But, to be honest, I thought there was a better chance of my being trampled to death द्वारा a herd of giraffes than winning this award. Therefore, I’m relying on my own stellar wit to get me through this without babbling incoherently.

I would like to start out द्वारा thanking the फैन्पॉप Four, especially Dave. Without their constant support and encouragement, I might not have thrived on फैन्पॉप as I have. आप rarely find a place, much less a website, where the founders are down-to-earth and always available and willing to help with any problems आप might face. I wouldn’t be the Fanpopper I am without them.

I also must thank all my fellow Fanpoppers. When I first started Fanpopping, I was a little shy and confined myself to just one spot. I devoted myself to making picks and submitting तस्वीरें in The Office spot, fearful of leaving the safety and comfort of the only spot I’d ever known. But then maybeastarbucks introduced me to the Picks spot, which he had created to allow Fanpoppers the freedom to talk about anything. This was my first attempt at branching out. People responded to my picks with enthusiasm, so I tried a different spot. Before I knew it, people were talking about me and to me as if we had known each other for years. It’s because of these people, my Fanpopper friends, that I take great pride in what I do on Fanpop. I don’t want to be known as someone who doesn’t put any effort into the content she submits and is just trying to earn पदक and props. So, thank आप my fellow Fanpoppers for thinking that I’m worthy enough for the Lifetime Achievement Award. And considering who I was up against in this category, I am truly honored द्वारा this award. I will do my best to live up to it and not let the honor go to my head. Also, I will expect all of आप from this दिन on to refer to me as “The Great One.” Thank you.
