First of all I would like to thank आप for taking the time to read through this लेख and help me figure out what exactly is out there in TV land.
Lately I have noticed that I have had a diminishing interest in what is being shown on the TV. I see too much reality TV, too many बिना सोचे समझे comedies that come and go to the extent I’ve started to wonder if TV has turned into a whore house kind of business. This isn’t a rant against TV in any sense, I am merely trying to explain my current predicament (which is sad that I find it a predicament considering that watching too little TV is a good thing). It turns out that I now only watch one दिखाना regularly and that’s House MD. I have come to the TV spot in the hopes that people will be able to दिखाना me shows that are intelligent, unique and worth watching week after week.

Shows that I like

I thought it might help people for suggestions if they see shows that I watch occasionally to get a feel for what I like.

Dramas:

House MD- the दिखाना I watch every week.
Bones- I find highly entertaining; I like the creativity it shows and the out of the box thinking when it comes to solving the cases. I prefer it to सी एस आइ because it tends to explore the characters involved.
Dexter- Though I’ve only seen a few episodes, I have found this दिखाना extremely fascinating and completely unique.
CSI NY- I like puzzles

Comedies:

30 Rock- This दिखाना I would watch regularly if I could find decent लिंक्स to new episodes. I adore this दिखाना because of the main character Liz नींबू and the large amounts of intelligence and satire that go into लेखन this show.
Frasier- It’s not often that a दिखाना makes me laugh my नितंब, गधा off almost every time I watch it.
Scrubs- I find the characters actually quiet deep but completely hilarious at the same time.
The Office- I’ve only seen season 2 though.
Blackadder- History + humor= pure genius

Types of shows I dislike:

-Any form of reality TV I hate
- Not a प्रशंसक of teen dramas
-I don’t really like shows where relationships are the most important thing
- Not a प्रशंसक of shows that just use violence and action to make up for lack of story
-Stupid comedy for example jack ass.

What I’m looking for:

-    Intelligence
-    Well balanced cast where almost all of the characters are loved
-    Well developed interesting stories
-    Deep (for dramas)
-    Unique (I’m a sucker for that)

So do आप guys think आप could help me out, any suggestions? I have a very open mind to shows and will watch almost anything at least twice before deciding if I like it या not. Please put your suggestions in this way, one because I’m anal and two because it really helps.

salemslot Wow,oldmovie!You have good taste!I'm completely biased here but you DEFINITELY have to try SUPERNATURAL!Jump to s3.Whatever you asked for is right there!Witty dialogues,drama(this is an understatement),moral issues.The action might turn you off but it's good.Otherwise,try Mad Men :)

TmoVie_obsessed Name of show: LOST Genre: Drama Main character: there's no main character there are about 14 major characters and other less important characters Summary: it's about the survivors of a plane crash on a mysterious, crazy island. There are a lot of puzzles and every episode features a flashback from a character Best episode to watch: well you kinda have to see it from the beginning to really get what's going on cause it's kind of confusing otherwise. So the Pilot I guess Reasons why you watch it: i love almost everything about this show, even though I don't like all of the characters I still find them all very interesting. The plot, as confusing as it is, is brilliant and interesting and Iove watching it come together I always try to get people to watch Lost and so far I've already gotten 4 of my friends hooked. I know not everybody likes it but It's my favorite show by far so you should really try it out

courtney7488 If you're willing to watch episodes online and/or rent some DVDs, you should check out [i]Lost[/i]. It has everything that you are looking for: a deep and fascinating story, uniqueness, and a great cast. In my opinion, it is one of the most intelligent shows on television ever. You would have to start from the beginning though and watch it in order because you will be extremely confused if you don't. haha, I think TmoVie_obsessed and I posted at the same time- great minds think alike!

[b]Best episode to watch:[/b]Watch the first three episodes, then decide if you want t stop. [b]Reasons why you watch it:[/b]It is just awesome, best thing on T.V still but gets lots of criticism because the first season was so good and the writers strike didn't help heroes in the second season. [b]Other shows I recommend are:[/b] Lost: Great Show in it's 5th season so watch from beginning to understand as it is hard to keep up with. Comedies I'd recommend that you haven't put that i can think of are: My name is Earl and The big bang theory.

amazondebs what about dollhouse? greate new show which is very dark and twisted like dexter it's about a underground organisation that wipes people's memories and implants with personalities of anything they like to hire them out to people for what ever purpose, romantic, personal, criminal ect it's only on the second episode too so you can get in to it early now and the first two episodes are on the spot :)

oldmovie Thank you for the advice everyone, DollHouse has spiked my interest immensly actually and Supernatural. Lost I think I might try as well, just because whenever I ask this question people always respond with that. Already seen Heroes, but thank you very much for that.

ineedcoffee there is a new one on as well called Trust Me this one is for your comedy side, it isn't like gut wrenching funny it is more intellectually funny it stars Eric McCormick and Tom Cavanagh as ad guys and I would start with the pilot, but try Eleventh Hour,The Mentalist which is similar to Lie To Me but Lie To Me is more like House and it just started actually I think if fox was smart they would put it on after house.

fanfly I know you already said that Supernatural had peaked your interest, but since no one gave an explanation of it like you asked, I decided I'd go ahead and outline it for you. To peak your interest further. [b]Name of show[/b]: Supernatural [b]Genre[/b]: SciFi/Drama/Horror/Comedy/Action- seriously it covers everything! [b]Main character[/b]: Dean and Sam Winchester(they share equal time) [b]Summary[/b]: It's about two brothers who travel the US fighting ghosts and monsters, on the fringe of society, often pursued by the law. Their father raised them to do this after their mother was murdered by something supernatural. They hunt for that creature and kill other monsters along the way. Season 1 starts out with them looking for their missing father and discovering that there's more to Sam than meets the eye. [b]Best episode to watch[/b]: Well, the Pilot is awesome but IMO Season 2 is when it really hits it's stride and just gets better from there, so I recommend you get a taste for it by watching Season 2 Episode 12 "Nightshifter". It's actually how I hooked my sister into watching it. [b]Reasons why you watch it[/b]: For the dynamic drama between Sam and Dean, the humor that's in almost every episode, the epic story that just keeps getting better with each season and the fact that the cast and crew give 110% and it shows in everything from dialogue to sets to makeup. Also, classic rock is the soundtrack of the show and how can you go wrong with AC/DC and the Rolling Stones? I also recommend Dollhouse! Also, if you want to watch episodes online- try sidereel.com. They usually have some good links to Supernatural and Dollhouse episodes.
