Switzerland सवाल

Long सवाल about the swiss german.

When I went to Switzerland I couldn't understand what they were saying, even though I speak German. I know the dialect is very different but are the words different too? I was hoping that some of आप Swiss guys could tell me :)

well all I know is that some things are shorter like "Ich Liebe Dich" (I प्यार आप in German) becomes "I Lieb Di" (not sure if I spell it the right way, it's just how I remember my फ्रेंड्स from St.Gallen saying it) in Swiss German. But of course every place his it's different nuances and if आप spend some time with a particular group आप will end up understanding them (I'm Dutch and could figure it out after a while), but don't ask me to talk Swiss German because I wouldn't know how to...

Any words are diffrent, but when आप speaks German the most people understand आप and speak German with you. It comes on it where आप goes, so the Wallis has a very specially Swissgerman and I don't understand it, even I'm Swiss.
