Students should see their professor as a friend. Nobody says that he should be so extrimely outgoing, there's just suppose to be understanding between the teacher and the students. Snape doesn't listen and doesn't care. He's just like , - "You're from Gryffindor/Hufflepuff/Ravenlaw? My subject is hard for you? Well, guess what? I hate you and I don't care. That's your problem. Month detention, oh, and 50 points taken from your house, why? Because I can ". Minerva, Flitwick and Sprout, now that's what I call teachers. I have respect towards them.

Although he was Dumbledore's spy in the end (always was, undercover), I still disliked the way he behaved towards Harry and his friends, and the rest of the pupils who weren't in Slytherin.
