बार्बी in the Nutcracker is the first installment in the computer-animated बार्बी film series.
The film was written द्वारा Linda Engelsiepen, Hilary Hinkle and Rob Hudnut, and is loosely based on E.T.A Hoffman's classic story, The Nutcracker and the माउस King. The film follows Clara, a young orphan girl who has a dream of going to a land named Parthenia and defeating an evil king.
The ballet in the film was motion-capture based, and choreographed द्वारा Peter Martins. The संगीत is द्वारा Arnie Roth, and the लंडन Symphony Orchestra performed songs from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite".
