Haha how could anyone say that "she wanted Jake, but he wasn't there", or that "Lucas was the next best thing"??? Please. Lucas never was, and never will be second best to anyone, when it comes to Peyton.

And yes, she thought she was about to die. Cut the girl some freaking slack. But it wasn't JUST that, I don't think she would have kissed just anyone at the time. I think we all know that Lucas is the love of her life, she even told him that she loved him. So if the love of your life is sitting with you, trying to protect you as you think you're dying... Ofcourse you're going to kiss them, and say "I love you". I'm pretty sure any one of us would have done the exact same thing!

She loved him and she thought she was about to die so that was her only chance to show him how she feels before potentially bleeding to death.I am glad that happened and it was such a intimate sweet moment between them and for those who think it didn't mean anything...hell yes it meant something...... especially to Peyton! I know if I was in her place and I felt that way about Lucas...I would have done the same thing.

It was because she loved him. I guess she just went for it since she could have died, it could have been her last chance

I hated that kiss. I'll always hate Leyton. But come on, she thought she was dying. I have a lot of reasons to dislike Peyton, but this kiss is not of them.

I really think so , I mean she was scared and thought she was going to die lol , she had history with Lucas and she thought Lucas was the last person she will ever see , so she just kissed him , but she later on realised it meant more than just a supposingly goodbye kiss.

it was such an happy day for me but the peyton/leyton haters are so annoying and biased

Yes, she was about to die, so I agree with you there. I was never mad at Peyton for that kiss. But Lucas wasn't the man she always loved. First of all, she'd only known him for a year or so. Second, does the name Jake Jagielski ring a bell? Season 2 and half of season 3 Peyton was completely in love with Jake. She liked Lucas only as a friend. That's canon. Don't believe me, rewatch those seasons.
LP existed for the majority of the show, true, including the beginning, but not all of it. Again, go to S2 and 3. Lucas was in love with Brooke, Peyton was in love with Jake. They fell in love with each other again, but that doesn't mean they always were.
But then again, I guess this one would go to annoying, biased Peyton/Leyton lovers.

Couldn't he just leave Brucas be??? I was so mad it had happened again and poor Brooke had to suffer all through that AGAIN after both Luke and Peyton had told her they were going to make her suffer again.

I can't understand how people say this kiss was out of blue. Seriously Mark has been building up to Lucas at least three episodes before scene. Peyton's feelings for Lucas were growing and becoming more evident whether she admitted or not. It was really a matter of time till the whole thing came out. A drunken Peyton while listen to a music confessed it reminded her of Lucas, a sleepy Peyton was saying ‘I love you’ without her realising, while talking to Ellie she confess there was a guy she loved which she let go. When they were in the library, she decided to express her feelings before it was too late, she was dying after all. But I believe those feelings were real.

Even Lucas later on says She told me she loved me. I just figured it was because she lost a lot of blood. But at some level I knew it was true. I was just too afraid to admit it because, it would've hurt Brooke.
