I hate Haley. Tonights episode just pushed it over the edge. She needs to take the giant stick out of her ass and quit acting so high and mighty. I'm sorry, but when she told clay tonight that he needs to start "acting like a grown man" just because HEAVEN FORBID he threw a party was just ridiculous. So the characters can't even throw parties now without being judged by Haley? just because clay threw a party does not mean that the pregnancy scam is his fault, and it doesn't make him a bad person who needs to "start acting like a grown man".

Nothing and no one is ever good enough for her, and she seems to think that everyone needs her approval. and lord knows that if you don't have her approval, she'll be the first to let you know it. you aren't always going to agree with what other people do, and how they live their lives. but that doesn't mean you have to call those people out on every little thing that you don't agree with, and act like a total snot to them because of it. ughh she just drives me nuts lol. there isn't a single character on the show that she hasn't acted that way towards... it really just gets old lol

^^ YES, TBSAC!! i completely agree! i've thought that about Haley for a while now, and it just keeps getting worse and worse with each season. that "Holier Than Thou" personality is all i see now when i look at her. it's like her only role in the show anymore is the snooty, nose-up-in-the-air mom with the perfect little family that never does anything wrong. i mean Mark isn't giving her any decent/fun storylines of her own, all she does is suck the fun out of everything, pick people apart, tell them how to live their lives, why she doesn't approve of their actions, and how disappointed she is in them. i'm so glad that i'm not the only one who sees that! lol

and i don't expect many people to agree with this view... i just can't help but notice that trait in her character. it's bothered me for quite a few seasons

Haley (& Brooke ;-)) is my favorite character, but you're totally right about this... I hated that side of her character, especially in the begining of S5, when she was judging Peyton all the time because she didn't like Lindsey, because she kissed Lucas... That was annoying...

^ yeah season 5 was one of the most annoying seasons for Haley I think. The way she acted towards Peyton was just ridiculous. I understand that she didn't agree with what Peyton and Lucas did, but carrying a chip on her shoulder and being a complete snot like she was is just so childish. She needs to learn to politely and maturely talk to people instead of just constantly judging and belittling them.

I remember a specific scene in season 5 when her, Brooke, Peyton, Lindsey, and Mia were stuck in the library that really drove me nuts too. Mia was talking about how one of her favorite days was when her mom made her hot chocolate on a snow day, and Haley butted in and made a comment about "no school", and kind of rolled her eyes and made a judging face (I'm assuming because she's a teacher, and was thinking how it made Mia so typical that one of her favorite days was a no school day). It's just little comments and actions like that that get really annoying

I LOVE haley, but I see were you are coming from. She is very judgemental. But even so, I think I am way more like Quinn. I am not sensible enough to be like Haley =/ I dont think as much into things as she does. Plus I look more like Quinn (:

Sry TheBoySawAComet but I do not agree with you at all! Haley was worried and hurt! I mean, what would you do if you were in a situation like hers! We already know how Clay is so far, women women! He does have to start acting like a grown man! Nathan is married and has a kid, that wasn't the kind of party he should have been attending. I agree with her! She was upset for god's sake!

But everyone has their opinions right! I just sooo don't agree with you!

^ If Nathan shouldn't have been attending that kind of party, then she should have been upset with HIM, not clay. Clay is young, single, and has the right to throw as many parties as he wants. Nathan is a big boy and can make his own decisions. If he felt like he shouldn't have been at the party, then he shouldn't have gone. clay isn't responsible for the trouble that Nathan gets himself into.

And since you say that "Nathan shouldn't be attending that kind of party", are you telling me that married men with children should never go to parties where there are women and alcohol? Sorry but that sounds a little ridiculous to me. As long as you are responsible with your actions at the party (which both clay and Nathan were), then it shouldn't matter if you go or not. it's not their fault that some crazy bitch decided to come and start scamming on Nathan.

People throw parties, and people go to parties... married or not. It's not the end of the world, thats life. No one is responsible for this pregnancy scam except the girl who is lying. So that is the ONLY person that Haley should be judging and yelling at. I understand that she is upset, but she's judging and taking her anger out on the wrong people. Who cares if clay is all about women? That doesn't give haley the right to tell him to grow up, and it doesn't make him responsible for what happened either

I agree..but still..Haley was upset, she didn't know what to do, she cares for her husband and that his dream won't shatter! We can see how much she cares not hate her :)

You don't have to be sorry, that's your opinion. that isn't the only time she's acted that way though. it happens in just about every two or three episodes, towards someone different, for different reasons. so I can't help but just not like her 99% of the time. That's just me though :)

I love Haley and completely disagree she's been my favourite since the first episode.

TheBoySawAComet, Haley was right to be mad at Peyton, she saw that Peyton hadn't changed, she still couldn't keep her hands off of Lucas no matter who it hurt, I'm not trying to cut her down or her relationship with Lucas, but I understand where Haley was coming from. Also about the party Clay threw she may have been a little harsh but I understand this too, Clay is Nathan's agent, he's supposed to look out for his best interest, and throwing a big party and getting wasted was not in Nathan's best interest.

^ you're missing my point. I'm not saying that Haley shouldn't have been upset with Peyton or clay (even though I'm still not buying the fact that clay did anything wrong). I don't condone what Peyton or clay did, but it's the WAY that Haley carries herself, and the WAY she handles these situations when she is upset that is super annoying. She just comes across as childish and too judgemental. looking out for your friends and your husband is one thing, but she is constantly acting all high and mighty, and always telling people why she doesn't approve of them... and most of the time, I feel like she's does it in a completely childish way or sometimes for no good reason at all.

This is just my opinion of her, and I know that a lot of people feel the same way. If you don't agree that's fine... but when I look past the "perfect mother" image that everybody has of her, I can't help but see a very judgemental person that acts like she is better than everyone. And this opinion isn't based on ONLY the Peyton and clay situations. Its based on tons of little comments/actions that she has made throughout 7 seasons now
