In my opinion, Mr. Darcy is a better written character. As much as I love Elizabeth Gaskell, she really can't compare to Jane Austen.

If we're just talking about the adaptions, though, Richard Armitage definitely beats Colin Firth!

I don't get Mr. Darcy's popularity, what's so great about him? he's such a boring character! I would never dream about having a man like him. I would rather be with Raoul de Chagney then Mr. Darcy! at least he isn't stuck up, and messing with people's love life!
