the rock and punk is like with guitar drum lot of power yell say bad words and lot hard music or soft muisc!

Punk is almost always faster and there are more 'power chords' played. You can usually tell with how fast the drums are, as they tend to lead the songs in Punk instead of the guitar leading in rock music.

Two well known punk bands are the Clash and the Sex Pistols. They can't sing at all, in my opinion, but there's just something about them that makes it good. The attitude, I suppose.

welll...to me the both kind sound the same. but according to my brother, punk and emo music is like whining, and singing about hurting youself.

Well, I don`t see a big difference between punk and rock. When someone asks me about my fave music type I say "punk-rock" lol

Punk is the music you turn up to annoy everyone. Rock is the music you turn up to annoy stiffs. That was a humorous approach,but to me,punk is a bit ...punchier than rock.But they do have the same messages.Punk is more extreme,but its fun.Rock is calming to me.It depends on how you look at it...

it depends on which rock ur talking about. If ur talking about rock n' roll like ac-dc-, Def Leapord. Then I would say punk is more the ''dyed hair'' bands or the bands with tattoed arms. Some of these bands include: Good Charlotte, Green Day, and a long time ago the king of ounk Billy Idol.

Punk has been dead 'since the '80's. Anyone who says other wise doesn't count when it started, and ended, which is the only true punk. When punk started, it was a bunch of young ppl done with the system. They had patches, and safety pins of their clothes 'cuz they were poor, not for fashion. They were literally trying to hold their clothes together,and they'd had enough. The Sex pistols, Ramones, Velvet Underground, they were punk! It doesn't exist anymore. Now, we're all spoiled as fuck!

punk is usually more anti-government and whatnot and usually has that 3-chord riff and is faster. Rock has more sub-genres and has more of a 4-chord thingy going on. I guess punk has sub-genres, too, like pop-punk, punk-rock... true punk hasn't really been around since the 70's, but nowadays they have lotsa pop-punk bands (like Paramore and stuff). It's rly not the same as real punk music, but it's slightly similar

Well punk is another one of the many sub-genres of ROCK, but I think the differences are already said above ^^ XD
