I find it a little too easy! I'm always stumbling on an artist new to me whose sound I like and want to explore. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with new music I want to listen to.

Especially with my high standards

Not so much nowadays, thanks to the internet and having access to a very wide variety!

Used to, though, in secondary school. I never had my own radio or anything as wasn't into the stuff we'd listen to on the school bus or in friends' cars. Every once in a while I'd hear a song I really liked, and that'd then lead me to check out the band/artist, but that only happened very rarely.

I find it much easier now though, especially with things like Spotify. And just being able to go on forums and chat to other people who have a similar taste! Over the past couple of years, I've really been surprising myself with some of the things I've found and unexpectedly enjoyed!

^Exactly! The internet has made finding music so easy. I no longer even bother listening to the radio- I don't have to in order to find new music. Spotify, Pandora, Last.fm- they're treasure troves. You just listen to artists you like and these sites recommend similar artists. And the more artists you listen to the more recommendations you get. It's an amazing system for finding music IMO.

I like most everything. All I usually do is go on YouTube and click around on the related videos. Though when I was younger (before YouTube got big) it was a pain waiting for new songs to come on the radio. I remember my first YouTube song adventure; I came across Sirenia whilst listing to Within Temptation. WT legit opened the door to a whole new world of music that eventually became my favorite genre.

@fanfly Sometimes I get overwhelmed with new music I want to listen to. OMG yes! I got so overwhelmed that I actually made a list of bands to check deeper into. This list is two note-cards long front and back. I'll get to them all eventually. xP

^Yes I keep a notebook just for music I want to listen to! I keep adding to it all the time. lol

No, thankfully not at all!:) I used to find it hard before because I was more "picky" and I wasn't as open to different genres... also because I didn't use the Internet nearly as much. I agree with what you all said about how it makes it much easier to find out about new things. I constantly have play-lists filled with new music I've never listened to before- I almost never run out! lol
