when u watch the older ones...it's like u could almost see in their eyes and how they talked. They mostly teased eachother but out of love anykind of it.

I think they saw each other as really great friends, best friends even, but i don't think they were in love, and season 5 is when they fell in love. Or, if there were any feelings more than friendship, they just didn't realize it until then...

eh...no way. They had a few sweet moments like the long hug in TOW The Flashbacks and the 2 beach episodes between season 3 and season 4, but it just showed that they cared about each other as friends. Chandler had some cute moments with Rachel too in season 4 and he clearly wasn't in love with her.
After London, they started to develop deeper feeling for each other and eventually fell in love

although chandler was flirting with monica in the beach episode and of course he was being a good friend i think they came to a point before that they were just friends or people hanging nothing more it just escalated after london.

Chandler had a crush on Monica from the moment he saw her after she had lost all of her weight. In season three, he began asking her out, trying his luck, but she rejected him. It wasn't until they had slept together that Monica began to return his feelings. It escalated from there and they fell in love, but before London I just think that Chandler had had a crush on her.

No , but remeber when Monica met Chandler for the first time she liked him plus Chandler was interested to know if she would like him for her boyfriend , they weren't in love they were very very close friends and maybe sometimes they had feelings but they never saw each other that way before London .

I think that there are different ways of being "in love" and Monica and Chandler's friendship before they got together counts. From the flashbacks, you can see how easy it would have been for them at any point to say "hey, what about giving you and me a try" but I think that they instinctively didn't because they knew just how important they were to each other. It might not make any sense to anyone else, but I think the fact that they stayed friends for so long actually shows how in love with each other they were.

I think they cared for one another, I think there was an attraction that was stronger than what we saw, of course that added to the excitement & shock of it not being Joey with her but Chandler instead, PERFECT on the writer's part!!
