well since स्मॉल्विल is different from the other सुपरमैन shows from the past and so forth. the दिखाना had her या lois lane come in and be someone different than who she is now, they had her come in and help या go out on her own and go to her cousin chloe's funeral and solve her death. however, since it's lois lane she found out from clark which is why she was there to help rescue her and solve the mystery and from then on she has been in smallville. to make a short story even longer.
