I don't read e-books, but they are no less "real" than paper books, so I disagree with the slant on the question.

Libraries weed books that don't get checked out. So if you have two options for the book of your choice - a physical book and an e-book - and you opt for the e-book, that doesn't bode well for the physical copy. So when it comes to libraries, yes, I feel that paper is the best option, and will only resort to e-books if what I'm looking for isn't available.

That makes sense.

The wording of the question, though, sounds like "real books" (i.e., paper) vs. e-books. If you wanted to know paper versus electronic, I think the question could have been worded more clearly.
