Alrighty, so i was पढ़ना some debates on TV.com (you guys should really check it out) and one of my good फ्रेंड्स Clean0002 was debating about the whole comet thing and she made some GREAT points and i just wanted to share it with you. So many people (mainly BL fans) are saying Peyton isn't the comet, well with what clean said, I'm sure Peyton IS the comet.

Peyton is the comet, that is all anyone needs to hear. I am sorry but all Mark is doing here is placating the fans. In another interview that just came out Mark कहा basically the same thing. He is spreading Lucas around so he has an impact in these girls lives, whether romantic या not. He is having Lucas spend time with Brooke as her friend so the BLers will be happy, he is having him spend time with Haley so all प्रशंसकों of the Haley and Lucas friendship will be happy, I have no idea why he is having him spend time with Lindsey, and he is having him spend time with Peyton and each time they do so it is about their relationship and the प्यार they share. Okay, back to symbolism, the car is only a representation of Peyton and LP. Many significant moments in the LP relationship happened in that car.
1. Peyton almost ran over Lucas with the car in the pilot, which was the first moment they locked eyes, the moment that started it all. As Peyton says in 508, "I प्यार आप Lucas, I think I have since the first moment we locked eyes."
2. Peyton's car breaks down in the pilot and Lucas fixes it. Keith tells Lucas, Peyton needed the quiet satisfaction that someone believed in her and Lucas provided that and because of that her life was changed forever just like his was when he saw her art in the first place. Then in 502, Peyton tells Lucas she was about ready to give up when she read his novel again and she says "Your art matters Lucas, it's what got me here," which paralleled season 1. Lucas had been suffering writers block but after Peyton tells him this he is able to write again and the book he writes is about her. It is just like season 1, after Lucas कहा her art mattered she was able to find the strength within herself and draw for Thud. In season 5, the roles were only reversed.
4. Lucas sees Peyton driving through red lights in 105 with her car. He gets in and drives with her and she tells him about her mother. She hadn't told anyone about why she was upset but she told Lucas. She told Whitey as well because he was going through the same thing at the time. The point is she opened up to him, something she never does, she doesn't take her walls down for anyone but she did for him when she was at her most vulnerable state. He wanted to know what was wrong and wanted to help her and be there for her in a way no one else did. Even her best friend didn't know the significance of the तारीख, दिनांक and didn't even try to figure it out but Lucas did.
5. Nathan wrecks Peyton's car and leaves it in the hands of Lucas. He does a hit and run and doesn't care. Lucas takes the car to Keith's and risks himself getting thrown in jail. This was the episode after he and Brooke get together in which he proceeds to leave her and go help Peyton and doesn't even tell her what he is doing. Peyton has to force him to call Brooke and tell her what is going on. He put Peyton before Brooke which he often does but that is besides the point. He tells Peyton "I प्यार being that guy for you," in which signifies he wants to be the person she always turns to even if it is at the cost of someone else like Brooke in which it was in this episode.
