Even though the film opened in China one month ago on December 2, its weekly ticket sales have not dropped by more than 10% from the previous week\'s sales, every week since. Ticket sales rose 38.8% during the New Year\'s holiday season. As students have just finished their exams and are now going to theaters to see the film, the Chinese distributor decided to extend the film\'s run to February 2.
The film has also earned over 30 million Hong Kong dollars (US$3.9 million or 450 million yen) after opening in Hong Kong on November 11. It is now the #2 top-grossing Japanese film in Hong Kong to date.
