I squeezed my eyes closed as I remembered what happened after that. To be truthful, that wasn’t the first time he beat me but it was the most severe. And it was actually the same night that Joe had tried to rescue me.

I blinked my eyes open allowing for a second, the tears to fall before I wiped them. I knew I was to choose between my husband या my best friend for a life time Joe and I had made my decision. But looking around the room I realized that Joe was no where to be found.

“Oh when the road is full of yonder” they sang as the non-living body started slowly slipping into its endless grave.

I tried controlling my anger and walking away but he blocked me again from leaving.
“It’s not my fault आप not as insanely handsome as me.” he कहा as I tried to go around him, “Don’t worry I’ll take good care of her” he कहा dragging me back .
“Don’t effin touch me” I snapped, knocking him over, “If आप knew what was best for you, आप would stay away”
“Or what?” he कहा still on the floor, “You’d hurt me like आप did nick?”
And I don’t know what happened after that except for the fact that after all I could see was blood coming from Sterling’s nose and his battered blue black face. Attention was all around us with murmurs. I could see Kevin and the look of disappointment on his face and in his eyes . I could feel someone holding my hand.
